NOOO don't get them. Especially from that guy. He sells the stick on side vent things. Also they are horribly over prices. You can get them at any Boating / camping store for around $10. I have a few on my boat, but they are not "Crossfire" cupholders. I hate when people take generic things and try to say they are for the Crossfire.

First off, I replaced the cupholder with the storage bin. Without any doubt, I get much more use out of the bin.

Then, I created a new cupholder. I took a store-bought cupholder that had a rubbery strap that could be wedged into any available part that could be closed on it. Initially, I would clamp in into the glove box, but I didn't like it rubbing on, and possible marring the face of the glove box.

So I then took an old credit card or gift card, blackened it, and secured it to the bulkhead using high-strength, high-temperature double-sided foam tape with about 3/8" of it sticking up over the top of the bulkhead. I took off the rubbery strap from the cupholder I bought and now hang it from the exposed edge of the credit card.

Here's pics. (also note the placement of my "Powered By Mercedes Benz" nameplate)

I Got Mine In Redding California. I drove all the way down there just to get a decent deal. The only other option was an over-priced high mileage one in tacoma.

How hard is it to swap out the cupholder for the storage bin?

radmanly you have to remove the center console but there is is a step by step procedure on this forum just do a search for for cup holder or bin. I will tell you the toughest part is removing the rubber emergency brake grip. I struggled with it for an hour until I found where someone used soap water to remove it and it slid off like butter. Had I used the soap water to start with it would have taken maybe 15-20 minutes total

Thanks for the reply. I found the instructions. They say "Remove trim plates around shift lever by pulling up and back." Does this mean they just snap off? I'm afraid if I pull "up and back" the wrong way, I'll break something.

I think I found the answer. I got the service manual posted in the SRT-6 section and it says (p. 23-182) "Remove the chrome plastic frame with a plastic wedge." That implies that it just pops off.

Try this one... I've had it for a couple of years now. It's not that pretty but it's functional plus you can put it in the trunk when you don't need it.

Its the "Wedgie"... how does that affect the passenger seat? Looks like it hangs 3 inches into their seat.

Any chance you can post the link to the instructions?

I've had people riding with me and they all said they had enough space. I don't know if they were just being polite. But none of them were XXL size either.

I just like it for extra storage and since I'm alone in my car 90% of the time it doesn't matter.

Here are the instructions. They're basically a summary of what's in the service manual.

The "Wedgie" is available at AutoZone for $5.99, quite a savings from the eBay price linked above.

Surprisingly, it does not seem to be to bothersome to the passenger. I'm not thin by any means, but I can sit comfortably in the passenger seat with the Wedgie in place.

I don't know, I've never been fund of wedgies. I find them somewhat uncomfortable.

An unfortunate name for a useful drink holder.

That's the exact one I got. it works well except if your drink is too small it won't fill up the whole cup holder and if you stop, accelerate, or turn corners it will tip over. You almost have to only have a 32-46 oz drink or one with a fully close able lid.

I bought a cup holder that you wedge between the passenger seat and center console and it seems pretty sturdy but its only holds large cup well, smaller cups tend to slide around and tip over. Any suggestion?
My first week of ownership, I bought a UDF Flavored Coffee and within feet of the store, the cup was spouting French Vanilla! Haven't used the cup holder since.
