interior paint
does anyone know where to find "touch-up" paint for the interior (not the hard plastic)? the previous owner of my car's arm rubbed against the area to the driver's side of the handbrake, creating severe wear. i have noticed it's also beginning to wear along the whole driver's side of the center console and just outside the edge of the silver plastic where the left window button is located. the color is changing from gray to black. it looks horrible and i don't know who sells the paint to fix it. i don't want to have the whole interior re-painted. if anyone knows where to find the paint or any other solutions, please let me know. i'll try to post pics of the "erosion" tomorrow.
Sorry to say this but you may not be able to get touch up paint for the console. I would just go ahead and bite the bullet, see the dealer, and order replacement parts. They are not hard to get off, although the piece with the e-brake handle can be tricky, but the service department could do it for you. I hate things that are worn looking. I always try to use touch up paint if possible, but in this case, I don't think you could get it. Good luck in your search.
This makes me wonder if some of that 3M clear bra stuff could be placed on the console to protect it from scratches & wear, has anybody tried it? Does it look cheap?
never mind. this is what i found: http://www.ultrasuede.com/products/a...e/aftermarket/
it seems expensive though.

I think that what you're describing is the same thing that happened to my '04 coupe. I showed it to the dealer, and they agreed to fix it under warranty. They subcontracted the work out to a car interior shop that came to the dealer and made it look like new. I saw their bill to the dealer and I think they charged them about $85 to fix it. If I recall correctly, the repair involved claybar and paint
well $85 is not too bad. i'm over 40k miles, so i'm out of warranty on interior and other aesthetic items. but if i'm goin to pay that much, i'll just take and have it done in a "less cheap" looking scheme.
