I need a hot wire to install an additional power port (cig lighter type) for GPS, Ipod, etc. Has anyone found a hot wire on the inside of the firewall or an empty fuse block location that is suitable for this? If not, hows the best way to get a hot wire to the under dash area? Switched or unswitched is OK. Thanks.

 

I tapped into the wire that powers the cigar lighter. It's switched, BTW. It's pretty easy to get to as well. Grab the trim around the gear shifter and pull straight up. It'll pop right off and give you access to the wire.
