Thumbs down Re: To Chrome or Not To Chrome...That is the question

Sorry, but do not do the shells. I tried them a year ago and after a few months the shells will start to separate from the door. So, you get dirt and trash behind the shell and in some cases the shell will hold water when you wash your car. As you can see from the 3M glue strips on the shell, it will be very easy for water to get behind the shell. IMO... No.

You are right about that... all that glued on chrome I was not happy with.. it is a much better idea to get the factory parts chromed...

I bought the chrome grill, chrome windscreen and chrome side fins from our common providers and can say the only piece I am really happy with is the grill the other 2 have problems of their own... the side fins are far from a perfect fit and there is still the original part showing if u look close enough and the windscreen produces much noise at high speeds as it interferes with aerodynamics...

Don't do any of the stuck on stuff... it is not worth it... I would recommend you send out the stock handles and have them chromed it will cost more, but I even after purchasing the parts am probably going to do this eventually...

I love chrome i also love black, and the two go together. IMO Chrome only looks good on black.
