Oil Change Step by Step with pictures!
You can do this! I've been changing my vehicle's oil for years, but this german car is a bit different. Still pretty easy though.

I changed my oil recently. Easy job, but I think next time I will run the car up the driver ramp only so that ALL the oil drains out. I put in 8.2 QTS of oil in after filter, but dipstick showed overfilledt after dropping car down. I drained out 3/4 of a QT, but it still shows high. The electronic display showed over, but now it does'nt. But it still is high.

You might want to think twice about crawling under a car (especially a XFire with it's low ground clearence) with it just supported by a jack. Jacks have been know to suddenly go down by themselves.
If you use just a jack, use jackstands along with it as a failsafe.
Ramps are the safest way of supporting the car.

Google "Viton" and you'll find: http://www.dupontelastomers.com/Prod...iton/viton.asp
It's all-around a superior product with both a higher service temp and chemical/acid resistance.
Excllent FAQ, great pictures. My only concern is you still have to crawl under the car. Do like I did and get an oil extractor... you'll never have to get under the car to chaing your oil again. Do a search for "pela oil" on the forums.
Cheers!

Well, not too worried about crawling under the car. I've been doing so since about the age of 10.
My G35C was low also. Obviously I take the necessary precautions. Apply the e-brake, put chocks behind the wheels, and of course, jack stands.
Thanks for the advise!

I always change my own oil, every car I've ever owned. First time for the Crossfire, it was super easy. Actually only things different is the cover underneath, just like the magnums though. I like the idea, it keeps engine cleaner and less risk of anything flying up into engine dept. Oil change was simple, no issues.
