Prices Going Up???
Autotrader shows more than 3,400 XF's for sale nationwide as of 1/14/08. Prices going up? I don't think so but that's good for all of us that think we might want another one, newer one, different one, in the future.

The fireo GT was a great car for its time, the 4 cylinders are what gave it a bad name. And unlike the Crossfire GM made improvements every year untill they killed it. The gt's in good shape are worth as much as 15,000 CAN '88 are the cream of the crop. Lotus suspension design that is different then all other years.
"Hah, the difference is that the Crossfire is a good car.
I know...low blow...but the 1985 Fiero V6 in its stock specification was 2700 lbs with a 0-60 time just under 10 seconds. The 1985 Toyota MR-2 weighed 2350 lbs and was a bit over 2 seconds faster"
The '85 gt I had did 0-60 in7.9 1/4 mile in 15.9 top speed 125 weight 2570lbs and trust me I could smoke my buddies MR2. My car had grunt, he had to rev his to 5000rpm and drop the cluth to even have a chance. Handling was close MR2 was a bit more agile and neutral. The fireo was roomy compared to the crossfire too! I would love to have one again!

I sold a 4 yr old MINI Cooper S for only $5000 less than what I paid for it new. They have one of the highest resale values, but I see that dropping rapidly as more are in the marketplace now. That fact and the "new" SRT-6 I found that was less than half the sticker price made my new ride a nice deal, indeed. I realize that I will never get that good of a resale price out of a car again and the depreciation of a Chrysler is horrible, but when am I ever going to be able to buy a $50,000 car that happens to be cool and unique ever again? If the prices do eventually go up, it will just be an added bonus.
I've decided not to "save" my XF. I'm going to drive it at every opportunity and as one of our members says: Enjoy the Ride. If/when I decide to get another car, I may just pick up another low mileage XF (maybe an SRT) at a bargain basement price!

If I can find an SRT Roadster, with less than 10,000 miles, for $20,000, I will buy it.
I sent emails, to a couple of dealers, and I'm bidding on one on eBay. So far, no luck.
It wouldn't be worth it, to me, to go any higher. I already have too many vehicles; but, for $20K, I'll add another.
