LED electrical issue
Recently I installed blue LEDs in the cabin and everything looks good. However, I noticed tonight the dome ones remain extremely dimly lit when not on and when I roll the windows down they flick on for an instant along with the truck light. Any ideas?

Yeah I've had the same issue, there's a feedback current that turns on the dome light when the power window switches are used. It's not annoying enough for me to fix it.

Ok now then, since the the LEDs require less power would it be possible to add a resistor in the circuit before the first LED to prevent them from lighting up?
Putting the resister in front (in serries) would drop the voltage to the LED. Put one across (in parrallel) would increase the current required to light the LED. What resistance and wattage? I'm not that smart today. Good luck....
The_Cohort,
A resister may work but I was personally thinking that zenner diode may be a better method. I would use one that has a breakdown voltage slightly lower then the triggering threshold of your LEDs. You may have to experiment a little since I haven't' worked with zenners for year where they actually start to avalanche; above or below the target voltage.

Putting a resistor in parallel will drop the over all resistance of the load that the battery source sees but there will still be 12V across the LED package. Now I am not sure exactly how the LED package is configured; whether all the LEDs are in parallel with a single current limiting resistor or whether each LED has its' own current limiting resistor. IMO series would be the preferred method over parallel to reduce the current flow through the LEDs.
