I have never heard a group of guys that think they know something sound so closed minded. Do some research. If you spent less time on this ONE site you may actually learn something that thinks outside of the box. The earth isn't flat, Grow up and realize that science IS advancing. Electric superchargers are COMPLETELY REAL. Look up Thomas Knight one of the inovators of the concept. It was only a couple of years ago you couldn't get a Cordless skill saw, well now due to battery advancments they are everywhere and they get better every Christmas. Can't wait for the first one of you to say well we're not talking saws, a super charger is a far cry from a hand held saw. WRONG it is not a factor of what the machine is, it is a factor of what is the power source supplying it. If you wont except this as very real and right around the corner you deserve to remain at 215 H/P. I recently said I could walk around a guy's Crossfire and shave .2 seconds off his time without spending a penny. The Group did what they always do, thought with one mind and doughted me. If someone that doesn't like to loose a bet, asks to bet you on something that just doesn't sound possible, pull your head out of the sand long enough to realize you may not be the smartest man in the room. Oh yah, Don't take the bet!

A little open minded skepticism is a good thing. Are you absolutely sure the earth isn't flat? If you are ever in NW Ohio, please stop and walk around my Crossfire. Every time I walk around it it slows down by .2 seconds. Maybe I'm walking around it the wrong way. Do you walk clockwise or counterclockwise to increase the speed? Would this walk around work on my 2002 Sierra also?
Are you going to send in your money along with Maverick? Maybe they could offer you two a group discount?
Most of us were trying to tell Maverick to simply be careful and not have someone without an address or testimonials take his money.

Wow, I can't believe I've read all of these posts. First I want to be one of those doubters and say I don't think it will work, but that being said I applaud your effort in trying to find a way to boost the HP at a decent price. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the results.

And I was happy in the thought that this thread was done and put away.
Thanks svo for bringing it back.
Just a thought.......is anyone here going to be surprised when there's no word on if this super sucker thingy ever made an improvement?

Chech out this site, seems credible. Not sure. http://www.electricsupercharger.net change the net to .com and you get another site with same pictures on the site and same price. That got me wondering. anyways just a thought.

Yes, you can use an altenator (parasitic drag) to generate an electric power reserve to be used for a short time (by an electirc motor) to create positive charge air pressures.
BUT WHY!?
You lose energy in the transition from fuel to mechanical force, from mechanical force to electrical charge, AND from electrical charge BACK to mechanical force. That means an electronic supercharger will NEVER be as efficient as a purely mechanical means of forced induction.
AND
You still have to overcome all the fuel and ignition timing problems that surface when forcing air down a naturally aspirated Crossfire's throat. For what equates to an even weaker burst of power than you could accomplish with a moderate wet shot of nitrous oxide.
The argument isn't that electric superchargers don't exist... it's that they are only considered a viable means of forced induction by people who think their electric toothbrush runs on magic (aka- downsyndrome babies).
Now kill this damn thread!
EDIT: Somebody rename the thread "Rube Goldberg's Forced Induction"

John Travolta
Jonny Depp
This is turning into Entertainment Tonight.
Hock a Loogie ? I haven't heard that in years.
This is turning into a thread like the "girly" one. Maybe we should drop it.

Thanks apkano, I forgot about this tread. It's sure has been more than 3 weeks it's been 7 weeks. Maverick owes us. He started this thread and he should finish it. We all share information openly. I for one would derive no satisfaction from saying I told you so. He might be able to help some of our members from losing their money.
Maverick, did you even buy the supercharger yet?
On the same note.. maybe he could wire up a battery charger into the AA battery holders so that he can use the juice from the AA to charge itself.. and not worry about running out of battery ever... hey.. i think I might be on to somthing here...
