Default Hi from a Newbie and thank you !!

Hi to all members from Sydney Australia. Well I have been on here now for two months that I have had my Crossfire and wanted to introduce myself and thank all the people who submitt to the forum, such as Andrew, FP, Siverfox, VALKRYDERGUY, Danimal etc... for their information, help and entertainment so far. I feel like I know some of you quite well already.

I purchased a Silver coupe' 10/03 build date from a dealer in Bathurst, No Mods, I would like to keep it orignal. Saw it once, drove it for half an hour and bought it that day. I love the car, no I mean I love the car. There is something quite special about them isn't there, and I can't work out exactly what it is. I thought the novilty of driving it everyday would have worn off, though it hasn't. My grass is growing long and those little odd jobs around the house are never going to get done... though thats the only negative I have found about owning one.

Me... well I'm a 42 year old Manager for the IT arm of a major Telco here in Oz. I'm married to a wonderful lady for 2 years now, who also loves the Crossfire, not as much as me though.

Thats enough from me... I hope I can return the favor by being an active contributor to this great forum.

Cheers
Brett

Welcome. List your build number in your signature. We need more cars with low build numbers. That was when they made the real ones.

......just as long as she doesn't get too envious! Just make sure that if you buy a mod for it that you buy her something, too (makes for an easy peace...hold it, that doesn't sound right...makes for a comfortable peace...that isn't working either...never mind!).
Your wife will eventually fall in love with it, too! In fact, my missus has just stolen the SRT to go "shopping". She thought I was crazy when I decided to put my '04 Coupe up for sale & buy a SRT.
Ha, who's crazy now?
Congrats from the other side of the world!

It's always great to hear from people on the other side of the globe who've been bitten by the Crossfire bug.

Greetings & welcome to the forum.

You're going to love this site - great info and even better people.

Welcome to the BEST Crossfire Forum !
Yes, there is something quite special about the Crossfire.
I've owned mine for almost 3 years. When I bought it I said to myself "now the FUN begins"... For me the FUN has never stopped.

Wow Hi everyone thanks for the warm welcome. I have fixed up my signature, thanks for the advice. I shall try and spread news of the forum to other owners here as well, If I can find them.

I shall take on board buying something for the missus when I buy something for the car. I have a cup holder replacement and set of locknuts being shipped out from the US. Sounds like I need to give her a weekend away in the Hunter Valley.... in the Crossfire of course <g>.

Mrs Oz actually volunteered to drive last saturday I told her to put the foot down to to get onto the freeway, she squeeled with delight as it shot from 70k's, with that sweet engine growl.. trouble was the wing coming up in the rear vision mirror caught her eye and she took her eye off the speedo, then it was me suggesting that she get it back down to 110k's for a change.

Cheers

Thumbs up Re: Hi from a Newbie and thank you !!

Hi Brett,

Welcome to the Forum & Congrats on a Great Car & Color choice!

Thanks for your kind words, we just loved Sydney & Melbourne this past April & May on the Pacific Princess to Anchorage, AK.

You "Guys/Gals" are Great Fun, we Sat at Dinner & toured throughout the South Pacific with one of your Elder Scientists & had a Marvelous 4 weeks with them to Honolulu!

Anyway you can get that Crossfire to our Next Dragon Meet in October/ Nov, before your Summer & our Winter?
Of course you would have to Drive it on the "Right" side of the Road for a change, & not the "wrong side of the Road like you do Down Under!

My Best to you & your,
Bill (SilverFox)

Hi Bill... I had a chance to see the Dragon run on youtube thanks to Valkryderguy. 318 bends in 12 miles... sounds like fun as well as meeting everyone. Would love to make it there though a right hand drive car on the right side of the road would be pretty hairy on the bends. I have always wanted to visit the states so you never know, may have to hire a crossfire and join you.

In the meantime I shall have to try and find some bends that compare. This is not too far from home.

Hey Brett, welcome to the forum!
My Wife spent a year teaching in Melbourne before I met her, and she loved it there. All she talks about is going back.
When we finally make it down under, I'll keep my eyes open for your Crossfire.
