Transmission gets stuck in low gear. Why?
I just purchased a 2004 crossfire with only 16,000 miles. It still smells new. Beautiful white exterior and charcoal and red interior. In mint condition.
Anyway, The transmission has locked in low gear twice in the two weeks I have owned the car. Both times I had to pull over and turn the car off and restart. No problem after that. This makes me think it might be a module. I read where someone had an O ring problem.
Other then that it runs beautifully. Has anyone else had this problem. Appreciate any info.

I don't have an answer for your tranny problem but I do want to welcome you here to the forum. I also have an 04 Crossfire with 29565 miles but have never had any issues what so ever with my car. Someone here may be able to help. Anyway Welcome !!
Sorry to hear about your problem.
However, I can't resist this...
Are you trying to push the clutch pedal in when you're changing from first to second?
Or is it one of those automatic cars for people that can't coordinate their limbs???

My 04 did it and my 05 does it too. Dont know what it is but it sure sucks when you want to play sometimes.

Thanks much for the welcome. I did alot of homework before buying a Crossfire. This car is amazing. Now I almost wish I bought the supercharged version. Beautiful designed car.
Both. I have a BMW M3 that's stick. The Crossfire is automatic. What can I say, the red and charcoal interior seduced me. So..an automatic. Think I 'll keep the M3 though. I need the leg excerise.

Thanks Larry. It doesn't sound stupid at all. I probably did exactly what you described. Now I feel stupid. I'm glad you brought it to my attention.
