CD stuck in radio please help!!
So i burned a music cd using cheap blank cds i got from big lots lol ( i know!!) it worked fine for a while then stopped playing and my radio came on. when i hit the eject button it wont come out and when i press cd it says no cd inserted> im hoping once my car cools down it will come out if not anyone have this problem before and have advice on how to get the cd out without ruining my radio
I have heard that using another cd or credit card inserted about an inch in the the player while pushing the eject button can work.
The card or disc can also be used to try and move the stuck disc.
The problem usually occurs when the disc slips out of place on the cd tray, more common on multi disc players though.
I found this info on the LX (300, Charger ,Magnum) forum.

If you read your owners manual, it says not to use these discs. Take it to your dealer, they will warranty the radio. You get a new one, and in 6-10 weeks you will get your cd back. All of this is under the assumption that you are still under warranty.
well after my car cooled down i just tried and the cd ejected right out. its just weird because i burn cds all the time and never had this problem, i wonder if its because i used a sharpie to put a track list right on the disc ?
Mine has been doing this from time to time with store bought CD's.
I also sometimes show "GPS error" for a few seconds on start up, and if I don't reset the NAV, I just get diagnostic readout showing # on sats, etc rather than an arrow pointing north.
Need to get the dealer to fix, but work schedule has been heavy . . .

I had that on my nav too, where the compass disappears, but that might be from the fact that the air force changes the satellites it uses for info. Read about this, can't remember where, that some cars were unable to connect to the other sats and their navs didn't work at all. I wonder if that has something to do with it having to be reset. As for the CDs, only once did it fail to read one that I burned and that was after I hit a big bump in the road and the car took a good bounce but I had no problem ejecting it.
I've had this same problem over the months also. It says "no CD", but one's in there and wont come out. It also says "error" at times. I dont have a clue, but the next day I start it up, the CD comes out like nothing happened. I've got my dealer ordering another one because mine skips and clicks too. I dont think it has anything to do with what kind of CD you have, store bought or burned.

I have never had a problem with a home burned CD but I only have a few so I guess I have been lucky.
I use Sony CD's only.
Typically.....there's 2 types of radio's for the Crossfire.
There's group one, who never have a problem with the radio at all.
Then there's group 2, who suffer a array of maladies. From "clicking" cd players (cd player just clicks loudly at you when you put in a disc), to cd players that skip if you run over a worm, to cd players that take in the disc but still think there's nothing there. Usually if your cd player sucks, you probably also have the preset button number 8 that really needs to be pushed hard too.
If you're still under warranty, take it in and they'll replace the radio.
