this car produces the most "head turners" than any other car under $50k.
Sorry, I'm taking this thread where it doesn't need to go. Nothing personal, Incog.....just confused!
Anyways....funny, my '04 Alabaster coupe appears to garnish more stares than the SRT. Of course, the SRT is now a disgustingly filthy mess: bugs, mud, manure & crappy weather combine for a less than stellar looking vehicle.

C5 Corvette size and performance, Sexy American design, Solid German engineering- all at a Honda Civic EX price! The only other car that comes close in the "stares per buck category" is the Saturn Sky IMO.

I'm just frustrated. I shouldn't take it out on the naxfire. It's been a very easy and cooperative car to drive, and there is certainly something to be said for a comfortable daily driver that looks this good... especially when you can easily spend $30K on some much uglier and less capable cars.
I think that 'out of the box' the Crossfire (N/A and SRT6) are very capable machines at the track. Most other cars that are stock would never do as well.
That being said, the head turning level of this car is uncanny. I have never had so many people looking or checking out my car. Seems like not a day goes by where I catch someone peering into my car or eye-balling it as I drive by.
I've also gotten various thumbs up (yes, they were thumbs), grins, head nods, and the gas station banter.
Opticon, you've been in serious performance cars longer than most of us and your expectations are different. Sounds like you know exactly what you want and have had near perfection in the performance department before, so take a step back and imagine that you've only had 'stock' cars in your life (even on the track) and then tell us what is wrong with it.
Cheers!

I've gotten tons of looks and stares, and questions about how I like it. Two of best memories I have of this.
One was in the middle of last summer. It was blazing hot out here in Southern California, and I was driving down Pacific Coast Highway through Newport Beach. There was tons of traffic from all the people heading to the beach. As we're inching along, I had the windows down, and I heard a guy as he was walking along the sidewalk, "That is an incredible looking car," and he and his friend stopped to take a good look. I just smiled and laughed to myself. Takes a lot for those jaded rich guys in Newport Beach to actually stop and look at a car.
The other was when I was heading from school to the gym. Again, traffic, but this time it was rush hour, so everyone was trying to get on the freeway. As we're making our way down Bellflower Blvd. (for those who know Long Beach), three guys in the truck next to me are all staring at my car, and I can see them all discussing it, looking it up and down, and pointing at stuff. Whether it was good or bad, I really don't care.
This may not be the best car for outright performance, though it is quite a good performer, but there are few cars that can illicit as much attention. I think for those who buy them, they understand that the primary reason for getting it is its outright style and wow factor. The fact that it actually drives pretty well is a major benefit.
Cheers!

Yeah I was playing with my switchblade key and someone asked me what kinda car it was. I said crossfire.. and they were like "damn your parents must be rich" And I said naw.. I paid for it. They asked where I worked.. I said at the local pet store... part time.

I was getting my oil changed yesterday when a brand new shelby cobra pulled into the slot next to my crossfire. The owner of the Shelby walk into the shop and I went over and look inside the Shelby, as I was looking inside the Shelby the guy putting a new oil filter in my car said to me " why are you even looking at that car it dosent have any thing on your crossfire, I bet your crossfire could wip that cobras a**. I just laughed to myself and though if he only new.
