Default TPMS and BAS/ESP light on

ok so, car hit a curb (bought i that way) and the stock wheels were all bent,

i bought a set of wheels and installed them on my crossfire, the tirepressure is set to 40 all around. but the tpms light wown't go away.

do i have to do anything to tell the computer i have new sensors or is it a universal item?

and the bas/esp light

i tried turning on the car, turning the steering all the way to the left, then to the right, then center and restart the car, it doesn't reset it. the battery was disconnected. what should i do?

thanks all for any imput

Probably have to have the TPMS reset at the dealer. As for the ESP/Bas light try a search on BAS/ESP been an issue around here the past few weeks. I've been lucky mine reset both times its come on but it took a few hours before it did so. I think I also read here that tire pressure was an issue with the ESP/BAS light in some cases. I'd start with getting that reset and see where that leads you.

One cute little quirk with the TPMS sensors is that they are position sensitive-if one came from, say, the right front and it then gets installed on the left rear, the light comes on and a trip to the dealer!

At least that's what I understand.

Cool Re: TPMS and BAS/ESP light on

Plus.......you have way to much air in the tires if you are using the OEM/stock fitment. The pressure should be 32psi front and 33psi in the rear, TPMS will trigger when there is a 25% difference in psi this includes over inflation also.

the wheels w/ tires are stocks, i bought them used to they came with tires and all. i'm not sure if the sensors were moved around.
