Hey all, ok so my old fan siezed up, i just put in a new one, but it doesn't turn on,

i tested it manually with cables from the battery, it works. but the car starts to run hot when i sit at a light, the fan doesn't turn on.

i can't find a fuse in the fuse box left side. is there another fuse for this?

ok all, i got a multimeter and tested the wires on the fan control module (well what i think is the fan control module), i tihnk it's the module on the left fender well, it's all grey metal fist sized, and i see the fan wires going to it.

it's getting one 12V all the time. when i turn on the car with a/c on, one of the small wires gets some voltage.

does this mean the module is bad?

thanks for any input

I know there was a recall/TSB on the fan way back. I had mine done about 6 months after getting the car. As to what it is you are dealing with, sorry I'm not that tech oriented. Check the TSB section if you haven't already.

Yeah, that is the fan"s PWM module (control) your looking at. My dealership had replaced it due to a recall or TSB before I purchased my Xfire. When they reconnected the fan to it they plugged it in reverse polarity. Boy did it make a lot of noise when it turned on

Anyway, it sounds as if that is what's gone bad since you are getting voltage to it. If it was a recall, your dealership (or any Chrysler dealership) should replace it for you.

Hope this helps.
