Talking need some help deciding what to do first!!!

hello everybody! Getting ready to spend some money. But I can't decide which way to go. I am really wanting to get a sub, and amp, I have never gone this long without a sub. 1 JL 12w6, in a ported box, running on a
JL HD750 amp. From what I have read, this should be plently of boom. Or I can get the tvt kit with cold air. I am leaning towards the stero for now, since it is my daily driver, and could benefit, with the extra weight in the back, going into winter. Then maybe buy tax time, do dual exhaust -2 cats, hid's, and the tvt kit with cold air, and sprint booster. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, chris

One more question, how far out should the lowbeam line be? It seems to have the proper _____/------- , but only goes out maybe 20ft. That can't be the extent of the lighting. Thanks again, chris

Get your amp. Sounds like you will enjoy it more than the extra power right now.
My car came with HID installed from previous owner so I can't help ya with the light question but 20' sounds wrong for any car.

Check to make sure the bulbs are seated correctly.

like the bottom side isn't seated in properly? I plan on hid's soon, so I thought I might weight until then. can you just reach in there and make sure, or do you have to remove stuff. I assume the tank on the passengers side, gets lifted out of the way. I also have one foglight with a cap, and one without. Is that a defect recognized by chrysler, or do I just need to order 1 fog light. ever heard how the dual exhaust, with a single magnaflow sounds. I'm used to my old cat less cobra, and dumps. I just don't want anykind of fart cannon sound. Thanks, chris

I put my W7 and 500/1 in one week after buying the car, so you can guess what I'd do.

I'm hoping this combo JL stuff, will impress me for the money. I have always come across used stuff in the past. Trying to get it right this time. I'm used to two hollywood 12's in a mustang box, powered by a bazooka amp. it would sometimes make yours vibrate if you concentrated on it. hopefully this will accomplish more than that. and my neighbors are pissing me off with theirs, I would like to return the favor. thanks, chris

I love my JL combo. In the front I have a 250/2 matched with the ZR65 components.

I was told that the amp is a perfect match with the 12w6. 750w going to one 12 vs 300-350w going to two twelves, in my old setup. Am I going to grin for a long time? are your friends impressed with your setup? chris

What I am going to be doing here in just a bit is pretty easy to do and looks clean as you know what in my opinion. Under your "trunk" we have that little area with the fix a flat and such...well all of those materials can be moved to the LEFT side easily if you stuff it in there, that leaves the other side completely open. Take out the foam, Put in a sub, keep the cover velcro'd down a little tighter. Should mean that the only thing showing in my Xfire will be the Amp, which I may just hide that behind the driver's seat (if i can get away without hitting the stock subs)

Going to be running 1 Eclipse 10" 300 RMS DVC sub (150/coil) with a HiFonics Brutus I have sitting around. Some day I'll take some pictures of the sound system from the Sunfire...THAT's a loud car.

Question as a side note, does anyone know what size the stock subs are? because if they're a semi-normal size...stealth install FTW...

They are 6.5 inch drivers. I have hidden my amps. I haven't taken a picture of it, but I will post it on here soon.

I installed a new head unit (Pioneer DEH-P980BT) so I could add components.
Then I added:
  • iPod
  • XM
  • HD Radio
  • BassLink Sub
  • Four two-way rear speakers
I left the factory amp, door speakers and tweeters, and behind-the-seat subwoofers.

It's all bolted down or bolted out of sight.

DISREGARD!!!! The speakers are seven inch speakers. I tried to install them into my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I had to dremel the 6.5 inch speaker adapters out before installing.
