Default Newbie - need some help

I just yesterday purchased a 2005 base 6 spd black on black XF, I will not tell anyone what I bought it for b/c if some of you knew, it would make you sick

I am glad I have found a place where everyone has such passion for the XF and everyone is soo willing to help anyone out with any issues. I have already ordered the blackout vinyl for the front and rear, as well as the HID 10K conversion kit and tinted the windows.

I am wondering if anyone has had an experience with the grills they sell on ebay. It appears for about $250 you can get the 3 piece set in a nice looking chrome mesh. I have attempted to contact the sellers to get install instructions and verify the grill is not sub-par quality, and have heard nothing in return If anyone has any info on these or has one installed, please let me know.

Also, if anyone has transplanted heated leather seats from either the Limited or SRT into a base coupe? I see them on ebay and am wondering if the proper connections are there to hook up the power? And if you can order or find the seat heater buttons for the dash and how difficult they are to wire up. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

Thanks guys... glad to be here.

JT

Congrats on the car, and welcome aboard. If you are interested in the grill, we have a member here who sells them. They are very good quality. Contact SRT SIX (Karl) via PM.

Good luck.

05xf, I bought a mesh grill on ebay, all I can say is 'bad news' The thing was dimpled like crazy and they gave me a bad time about exchanging it. Buy one from Karl SRT SIX. He will stand behind it.
