Actually gotta come in here-love my '6, but the interior IS cheap as hell.
Performance wise it's a great bargain, and I love the look of the car overall too...but inside-bleah.
I like the SRT seats, but that's it.
Yes, most of the trim is from a last gen SLK, but THEY looked cheap inside too!!
The plastic quality is about on par with a Honda Jazz, and it would have been nice to see some leather ANYWHERE other than the seats!
My smart forfour has about a 4xbetter interior, and cost about half as much...
If you want to see what an interior CAN look like in the '6s price range, look at an Alfa Spider.

The doors are leather, the aluminium is actually aluminium, etc.
I used to have one of those BTW...pit they aren't as reliable as they look!

That interior is bass ackwards...
It reminds me of when I rented a car in Brisbane - "You can drive in OZ Yankee?"
"No worries"
I'm on the airport road heading to town and hit my first round-a-bout - next thing I know I have two lanes of traffic heading straight towards me - off on to the grass I go......

They said this is the car used as the Performance car by Chrysler. I don't really understand.......

Spent 6 weeks flying to lots of places.... Cains, Surfers, Dubbo, Maroochydre, Great Keepel.... Rented a dirt bike from Cains to Port Douglas... had the time of my life...
OZ - what a country...
My next trip will be to the west coast...
OK Infinite, I'm the n00b here but I just *have to* respond to your post. In my opinion you are one of the more knowledgable posters here yet as others have pointed out, your negative bias continues to push to the surface of each post.
If you got actual quotes (not my cousin knows a guy who paid...) of $1800. for rods and $2K for pistons then you my Xfire saavy compadre, are a full dumpster load of fail when it comes to sourcing parts. I use custom rods, pistons and flywheels in each motor I build. Guess what, Pauter Rods will make you any 6 Rods you want for $800. *any* length, *any* pin size (giant diesel cruise liner rods excluded of course but since I said any, I should add the disclaimer
) Diamond Pistons would indeed charge you $2K for any CR and bore size pistons you select, but that would be the price for 14 pistons
$1000 flywheel huh? I had one made for a FWD Chrysler turbo project last year that was $1500. But that did also include a Tilton Twin Plate racing clutch rated to 690FtLbs of torque
Ever heard of Tilton, or Pauter or even Diamond? These are all top shelf race part manufacturers. What companies are giving you quotes for parts? Maybe you prefaced your inquires with "This is the first motor I've ever built and cost is no object.."

Parts I can get for other cars for a fraction are stupid expensive for this car, and theres barely any of them.
I figured when I first bought this car that the aftermarket would catch it and run, looks like I was wrong. Hell, the 370z has only been out about a year and a half, it already has so much aftermarket support that I could build a Rolling chassis from parts.
Im just saying, I bought the car thinking it would be possible to turn it into something it can't be

LMAO @ this thread!!!!!
I would like to call out Psuperti here though. How can you claim to have the "quickest N/A crossfire" when you are on Nitrous? Did you know when you spray a car, it is NOT considered N/A? I think your signature needs a little editing. such as: "Quickest limited crossfire full bolts on + xxx shot of nitrous 13.5 1/4 mile"

The whole Nitrous vs Non has been beat to death on a couple of my other forums Muscle so I know of what you speak
Non Nitrous vs Nitrous motors should indeed be in separate 'classes'. Here's the thing tho, to "aspirate" means to "draw out" so technically even supercharged cars are NA in that sense but nobody into cars refers to supercharged cars as NA. Nitrous is in a whole 'Nuther catagory alltogether
. Here is what was hashed out-over there, are Nitrous cars 'NA'? Yep, sure are, but they *ARE* forced induction from the pressure of the N2 supply..;
