Another Day of Attention
Part I
I was on my way home from work and approaching a building where I regularly see a hot mamma out front. My timing was perfect, as I saw her stepping outside toward her car, looking unusually dressed up. She disappeared momentarily behind a small tree as I was passing by. When she came back into view, trying to get a good look at her, I noticed she had stopped next to her car with her shades tipped down, following my car with her eyes. I had to laugh--it was like something out of a commercial. Unfortunately, she was probably only interested in my car. Conversely, seeing as she was about to get into her aging Saturn SL2, I'm sure she had no doubt it wasn't her car I was interested in.
Part II
While waiting in the local pizza shop for my order, a mother walked in followed shortly thereafter by her 4-ish year old son. He walked up to her and said, "Mommy, Mommy, there's a Chrysler out there. The speedometer says 160." To which, she said, "Yes, that's a Chrysler Crossfire. Your daddy wants one of those."

Gotta' laugh at some of the looks.
I've got a small, discrete stick-on chrome badge on the rear bumper that says 4X4. You can't imagine how many gawkers stop and seriously ask me how it performs in four-wheel-drive, is it full-time four wheel, how much the option costs, etc., etc.
What a hoot. Every Crossfire should have one.

I can't wait to put my Karmann decal under my rear wing. It'll really confuse people when it goes up =).
Now only if it would stop raining...

Yes, PRICELESS!

I'm sure they'll get some looks then too.... Not like people don't look at them ridiculously anyway.

Just got back from doing a little car shopping form my daughter and son-in-law. They are expecting their first child (and our first grandchild!) They have an "aged" Trooper that definitely qualifies as a clunker and are looking for something roomy but economical.
As I pulled up to the Chevy dealer to look at the new Equinox (all new and actually very nice) I was swarmed by sales people. Before I could get out of the car one of the salespeople said, "You aren't going to be looking to trade that are you???" in an astonished voice. He added, "If you do, it isn't making it to the used car lot, I am taking it home with me."
In the background one of the other salespeople was telling another, "...I worked at a Chrysler dealership when they first came out. What a great car. Boy, did we blow it!"
I grinned and said not for sale!

Yesterday, I was out cruising around and on the way home I was behind a convertible base Mustang with a guy driving and 3 girls as passengers. The girls were cute. One of the girls in the back seat turned around at a light and was staring at me. OK, not at me, at my XF. She must have told the other girl because she turned around too and was staring. So when the light turned green we both turned on to a 4 lane overpass and I flew by them in the passing lane. They couldn't keep their eyes off me.... I mean my XF.
Stopped by with a buddy of mine to check out an M3 he's interested. The salesman came out with his usual pitch. I asked him a few questions about the car and what not, but he turned the tables. Twenty minutes later, he knew more about the SRT-6 than he knew about the BMW he had for sale. Ha ha.

THAT part sounded like a "Larry Tate" commerical idea from "Bewitched".
Oh, and I will say this: More women than men ask me about (or stare at) my Roadster. I didn't say NO men, I just said MORE WOMEN.
Does this bother me? Not at all!
