Caliper covers

I just checked the clearance and the fronts only have 1/2" between the calipers and the wheel, which may explain alot why there's so much brake dust on the wheel, not withstanding putting ceramic pads on would help. The backs have about 2 1/2 inches of clearance. I think the covers looked fine, all in all, and I would have spray painted them my own color anyway, w/o any names on them and I think they would have looked just fine. The covers require an inch, so w/o spacers the covers won't work on the fronts. Sleep tight.

A SRT wing on an NA because your wing is broke, doesn't make it an SRT, anymore than the wheels do. But if you like certain features and want to copy it, or rather incorporate it,then you have alot of folks criticize your taste, or make up assumptions about your desire to be something you're not. That why alot of fake Rolexes get sold on the streets of NY. Sop who should really care? You, and only you is who. That's why when something is done after the fact I don't comment in general, unless I really like it because it's done, and either it is my taste or it's not, and someone obviously liked it to begin with or they wouldn't have done it, so why comment? And that's also why I may ask for input before I do something, if I want to ask, because I may not in fact be thinking right about how something may look, and at that point I'm happy to hear other viewpoints so I can make the best decision for myself. BTW, I liked the offset B in brembo on the covers, it gave it character.
So I drove home today to get a nice home cooked meal. There are some pictures of the front covers and then I ran out of light so I couldn't get any pictures that would come out for the back ones. They are in my gallery.

Fake as a set of stripper *******. Doesn't mean it's a bad thing. I went with covers for three reasons. 1.Looks better than caliper paint in my opinion. 2.Being black, they don't look out of place or obviously fake to 99% of people. 3.I don't want to invest half the value of the car on a set of brakes just to have a better looking caliper. Love it or hate it...it is what it is.

me too. That's what I did. Cleaned them with brake cleaner, then painted right over them and let them dry for a full day before I put the wheels back on. Just regular old Rustoleum enamel in your color of choice, with a small artist's brush, two coats.

Just installed MGP caliper covers on the front brakes of my 2006 F150 STX 4x4. I really like the look of these. Will install the rear pair later this week. Thinking about getting a set for the XFire.
