What the heck is this?
Does anybody have any info on this 350 Crossfire? Unfortunately I don't speak German.

I watched this 10 min. ago and wondered what the story was. Never seen that video (or XF) before! This forum needs a translator for all of the foreign reviews and vids on youtube.
That's the Väth V35 engine... the narrator lists it as a 350, in similar nomenclature like the Mercedes lineup (SLK320, CLK500, etc). They also have smaller tuning programs and programs for the SRT. I love their options but the price is exorbitant, as with anything from Deutschland.
Here are the performance figures... V35 is highlighted in red and blue (286 HP)

It would seem that the guys at VÄTH in Germany have a few tuning options and accessories for the Crossfire:
VÄTH ::: Mercedes Tuning :::

Thanks JHM2K and Tighed1, I don't know how I missed both of those other threads.
It was cool seeing a Crossfire being tossed around like that.
I disconnected the center wire to my traction control module so I guess I could probably duplicate some of those manuvers with my car if I was so inclined. (which I'm not)
It did look like the driver was having a great deal of fun though.

BCM = Body Control module...
You said you turned off traction control and planned on doing some donuts/drifting... but the BCM (if I remember correctly) stays active even when TCS is disengaged. So the electronic nannies will still 'arrest' your fun...
Killing the BCM allows lots of drifting, but also kills ABS, so play carefully...

As far as the ABS is concerned, I don't miss it. But I know if I ever have an accident that could be remotely linked to the ABS being shut off, I'm sure you guys will never let me live it down.
I'm just not a big fan of anti-lock brakes thanks to some "close calls" I've had in 4 different GM cars I've owned. A Vette, a Z-28, and two Chevy Vans.

Ok, did anyone else notice that the majority of the footage that was taken from outside the car showed a driver with a full face helmet, while all the footage from inside the car shows Tim Schrick driving with an open face helmet. Maybe this Schrick dude needed a stunt driver. LOL
My German is super rusty, but the following is better than nothing. Maybe Daun or another one of the German folks on here could help:
Chrysler Crossfire wann fahr motoren richtig - Chrysler Crossfire whenever engine correct
am der extra fahr arten optik an den fahrt nichts - on the special driving-art looks to driving nothing
directe zur auge feuern die neunzehn zoller - direct to the eyes fire the nineteen inchers
die durch funf und dreissig millimeter tieferlegungsat im ihren haus sitzen - the across 35mm lower design sits in the openings.
vor unsutz?? zwei hundert funf und dreizig auf achte macht zoll vergen - in front 235 by 8 inches
hintern zwei hundert funf und sechsige auf neun halb zoll - in back 265 by 9.5 inches
lange haube kurs?? rasch - long hood invokes speed
diskinktsid?? einfach geile aus - <don't know> simply super awesome
blah, blah, blah, tim schrick says something
announcer says, "you can never turn off the stability control on this car"
auf der straBe zollgen solche gretz??? frei experimente besser nichts stat vil??? -
no idea wtf this means....on the street something should something free-experiment better nothing ???? (that was useful)
Schrick says, "the 3.2L 6 cylinder is overbored to 3.5L"
blah blah makes 300 PS
announcer says, "the 1.5 ton chassis is obviously fun" (spaBige)
schrick mumbles something about the brakes
announcer says,"boring is different"..."also after nine laps of hochenheim the crossfire <something>"..." normally the grabbing of the brakes is already gone <something>"...
schrick says, "<something> this crossfire is obviously a series product"
schrick says, "<something> drift <something> coupling <something> good"
Announcer says, "Thank God!!!"
<something> acht und zwanzig tousand euro - 28,000 Euros <something> genau immer wegt?
sorry for the pathetic translation, I tried

Posted this video on the Crossfire Facebook Page. One of the "fans" was kind enough to paraphrase what he's saying.
"They say they increased the engine volume from 3.2 to 3.5 liters and exchanged the cylinders. 19 Inch rims allaround, lowered suspension by 35mm and changed the brakes. Puts out only 300 hp though. He says its a good car, but its super enoying that the ESP does not shut off completly and if you reach its limit, it still understears and goes straight.... The cost of the whole package, including exhaust etc., is 28,000€, so about $36,000 which you could use to buy an SRT 6 and bring it to TVT to be honest"
There you go.
