Default mysterious leak

i have a blaze red 2004 base. i put it away for winter cleaned and prepped NO LEAKS EVER 25xxx miles... well my father decided to take it out for a cruise one last time and put it away, next time i went north i noticed trans fluid under neath. problem is its not leaking now, no check lights, runs and sounds perfect! any way to check fluidlevel? any ideas? dont want to put it back on the road if there might be something seriously wrong with her.

Any help greatly appreciated

Lots of folks have had this problem. An electrical feedthrough fails and leaks either it's fixed free(?) or there is a DIY written up by Waldig to -do it yourself.

I just replaced my leaking connector shell today. It was fairly easy using Waldig's instructions. While I was under there I also dropped the pan and replaced the filter, pan gasket, and 116 ounces of ATF. I bought a special dipstick on eBay, but it probably isn't necessary if you just capture the fluid and put the same amount back in. Or, you can use a long ziptie which is what others have done on the forum.

I bought the parts and fluid at the following site. The Adapter Plug Housing, which is the part that leaks, is available at the bottom of the page.
