Waved Goodbye to my XF yesterday
It was a sad day yesterday as I waved goodbye to my Crossfire.
I've had it for 2.5 years and loved every day of ownership. I had a choice of keeping my XF or retiring one year earlier, and I chose retirement.
This week the new owner will be driving it back to California from Maryland. Lucky him.
Without a doubt this is the best forum I have ever participated in and I have loved interacting with all of you.
Goodbye and know that I will always miss my Crossfire.

Sorry to hear of the passing! Nice to have had the chance to know you from this. It's just a car. And when it serves you to do something else, then it's time to move on. The new owner will be really happy and hopefully take care of her. Win win all the way around. Good luck in retirement and I'm really envious!
Three weeks ago I had to have my dog put to sleep. Kidney failure and she was failing fast. She was only 8 years old, which is young for a 10 pound Shitzu/Poodle.
That was far more traumatic than losing my XF.
In my long life I have owned 7 Porsche's and one XF. Loved my XF more than my Porsches, which says a lot about our beloved autos.

On a more happy note, for me anyway, I have been retired over ten years, and, last summer was able to pay cash for my '05 black limited coupe.
I guess I have the best of both worlds, just hope my health remains good.
Good luck with retirement, and maybe soon you will be able to buy another Crossfire.

My wife said I needed a Crossfire when I retired. I think she thought it would keep me out of her hair.

Hopefully he will become a regular.
Sorry you had to part with the Crossfire, and don't be a stranger at Burtonsville. Still going strong every Sunday morning just on the other side of Rt. 29.
Happy retirement....I have a "Boston Frise"....half boston terrior/bichon frise...she's a hoot, I'd hate to lose her....get another pet to keep you company in retirement....
Happy Retirement, I would have been retired now, but my company went bankrupt, PBGC took over our pension plan. Now I have to wait until I'm 60, 7 more years to go. I know what you went through with the dog. We had to have our 5 year old Shih-Tzu put to sleep on February 25th because of a herniated disc, there was nothing they could do for him. That was the toughest thing I have ever had to do in my whole life. Just like losing a family member. Anyway, don't be a stranger and maybe you can pick up another Crossfire later on.
