Quite a few '04's were sold and on the road in '03 already, maybe the seller is going by purchase date. Gotta love honesty.

It's definitely the highest mileage XF I've seen. I wonder how it runs...

I don't know if I believe the mileage..... unless your traveling quite a distance all the time. He doesn't have a picture of the mileage. Looks good though but the pictures could be deceiving. I assume lots of rock chips in the front and hood with that kind of mileage. Don't worry guys not trying to sell this car
Well, as already said, obviously its an '04. I can believe the mileage though. I have a relative who bought an '04 Acura TL new and has 246,000 on it(thanks to a long and daily commute). So its quite possible.

I wonder if he ever checked the window sticker when he bought it. I'm sure someone will think it's a super rare XF and ****** it up at that ridiculous price.

If you own a classic car here in Cali and want a "black plate" to hang on the car (gives a look of originality to the car as old Cali license plates were black with gold numbers) they give you one from the calendar year in which the car was built. I know a couple with a nice '57 Chevy convertible that has a black plate on it dated 1956 because the car was built in November of that year. No matter that it's a '57 model year car, they had to have a '56 plate. Oh, sure, you can get a little add on tab with the correct year - for $350 extra.
218k is not out of whack for a daily commuter in CA. I bought my A6 in April 2005 (with 37k) and now have 172k on it, and took possession of my roadster a month later and have 34k on that. Add in 8k on my SRT6 and a few thousand miles on my wife's car. If I only had one car, it would be easily be over 200k. I'd be more concerned if he was under-reporting his mileage. I'd also like to know what maintenance plan he followed and what repairs he had to make.

Car is nearly 8 years old, has the potential of having 400K pretty easily IMO
The first Crossfire I saw was in a dealer's showroom on June 28, 2003, I can even tell you the time I saw it ........11:00 a.m. I know because they tried to sell it to me for $37,000 when I was there picking up a GT Cruiser. I fell head over heels in love with the Crossfire at that moment in time but it was another 2 years and two weeks before I would own one. Many of those with 04 vins (check the 10th digit in the vin, that's the model year) were actually built in 03. My 05 has a build date of 06/04.
