Turn signals suddenly stop working...

Over the past 2 months I have noticed the following:
Once my engine heats up to normal temperature, the bulb out warning light goes off and the indicators work again.
As I am driving, if I get the timing just right, I turn the indicators on and then hit the dashboard where the bulb warning light is. This makes the bulb warning light turn off and the indicators work again.
I've also noticed that if my sidelights or headlights are on, I can wiggle the headlights switch and this tends to cut out the bulb warning light and make the indicators work.
I'm now saving to take my car in for a service and to have this fault looked at as there is obviously a short / wiring issue somewhere around the area of the bulb warning light.
PS - Apologies for my lack of technical knowledge, I'm a girl and don't know much about cars apart from I like driving

I took the bulb out of the engine compartment for the turn signals and their seems to be 2 or 3 contact points between the black plastic and the bulb. The contact were a little corroded, use some sand paper to sand them then took a needle nose pliers and pried gently the contacts on the black plastic enclosure so it was jutting out from the enclosure (not flush with it). Then put the enclosure with blub back into the opening in the engine compartment. This has worked for a couple of months now. Hope this helps you also.

I have read before that the blinkers and hazards are part of a single relay it happened to me and all i did was turn on the hazards for a minute and it unstuck the relay. it has worked for me for 2 years now and never happened again
The hazard trick has never worked for my car, BUT.....
I took the fuse route this weekend. Pulled out fuse No 4, gave it a bit of a scrub with a nail file, cleaned it off and put it back. Bob's your uncle and the indicators now work and have done for the past 24 hours !
Unfortunately the problem has moved to the break lights. Now my bulb out warning light comes on when I press the breaks for the first time after starting the engine, and my driver side break light doesn't work. I've checked and replaced the bulb (just to be sure) and the damn thing refuses to work.
I swear if my car didn't have that bulb out warning light then it would probably be fine !!!

A little advise. The other day my son's turn signals both front and back just suddenly quit. After he parked it he noticed the back up camera wasn't working on the receiver but the radio still was. All the other external lights work properly. Checked every fuse. All good. No error codes read. However the faulty external light icon on the dash did come on. Is it a possibility that when the backup camera was installed a few weeks ago some how it could have caused it like a bad grounding or whatever since both did it at the same time?
Check interior fuse box fuses / [ FUSE NO 12] THEY BECOME LOOSE OR WITH CARBON LIKE / CLEAN THE FUSES
OR CHANGE THEM WITH NEW 0NES .MAKE SURE THEY HOLD

Can't some of these older posts be archived into the search function? If you don't check the post date you could be trying to help someone who no longer owns a xfire. This particular post initiated 12 years ago.
2) There are legitimate reasons to tag onto an old thread. The Sticky Key thread is a very good example of this.
Why can't people just look at the date of the post? That is why the date is displayed.

People don't read, they react instantaneously and absorb a few bits of info. If the date was animated or flashing RGB they would react accordingly.
Most dont' even retain what little they 'absorb'.
