Default Bought the SRT today...

Flew out to Virgina to pick it up. 700 miles later I'm in love! NeverEnough even shedded a tear when I drove her off. Car is amazing. I feel like I'm going 100 and I'm going 60. Here at the border of virgina/tennesse. I'll keep everyone updated.

Seems like I saw a thread about it, but cant find it. I bet he's on the DRIVE OF A LIFETIME!

I might be taking a similar drive real soon....

I bought my 2004 LTD on a whim and was very happy and after over two years , I still am. When I learned about the SRT6 I felt I should have held out and looked for one to buy. It is and will be a Collector Car because of it's performance and scarcity!

However, I love my Alabaster coupe with only 29K on the odometer, after buying it with 24 k two plus years ago. Its performance is rather torquey for a 215 HP six, and I can keep up with most cars on the road (in the same price range) while averaging 24 mpg!

I'm 66 and my racing days are over anyway; I drive like every car on the road wants to hit it and total it!. Sure, I could sell it and add another 8 grand for an SRT,but it would mostly be as an investment, should the opportunity arise. The engine and trans on these cars are basically 200K++ with fluid changes done religiously, so the car will outlast me

Enjoy and drive your SRT for many years and baby it, and I'll bet you can sell it for what you paid for it or more! down the road. You did well, especially if you got it for a good price

All reasons I added the SRT6 to the stable two years ago. Plus I wanted the same color as my roadster, which I bought new.

I believe this is the general concensus. He's still on the purchase high, so the world should return to normal once he gets home.

I know you're enjoying the X-Country drive in the SRT-6. Be safe and congratulations on your new acquisition.

Thanks guys. I'm actually in Little Rock right now. Did a little sight seeing as well. Drove about 600 miles today. SRT is holding up very well and I have yet to really open her up because of the areas and the 2 lane roads that the trucks take up. Tennessee had a lot of state troopers posted up. Arkansas I been going 90 easily.

Only thing wrong with the car is that one license plate bulb went out. So glad I got this ride. I got to say the scenery out here is nothing compared to Cali. It's so green and maintained where Cali all our money goes to welfare.

Should be in New Mexico tomorrow night.

I have blown my license plate light twice in the past 5 years. Takes 2 seconds to replace. If that is the only problem with the car than you should kiss the tires!

I drove through New Mexico once. Lots of open road and great views. You can open the car up there without any problems Hit 150 and see how it feels! Then switch to second gear if you want

It is funny.... because my car is actually sitting in a horse stable. Not a joke either! Converted an old horse barn into a garage. Kicked the horses out for the car
