Headlights with ignition
Took my 07 crossfire roadster to the deaqler yesterday to have him reprogram the computer so my headlights would come on with the ignition. I know this works in Canada, but "the trusty dealer service" manager told me (after an hour and 30 minutes) that they couldn't do it.
Is there a method? Does it require a "Canadian" computer? A Canadian car? My moving to Canada?

Some Canadians have wanted the US lights and have purchased the US switch, maybe someone has a 'Canadian' switch to sell or trade for your 'US' switch.
The Canadian lights, called 'daytime running lights', come on when the hand brake is released on a manual, the other lights come on when the car is started.
I imagine autos would be the same, but as many auto drivers do not use the hand brake they may not notice. The headlights are controlled in the daytime mode by a solenoid in the switch I think as it clicks when the hand brake is taken off.
There is another way and that involves a purchased item in Canada and wiring mods.

And by the way... My crossfire is owned by me. No bank loan. The title is in my safe. my point to this whole discussion... If you knew me you would know I believe nothing is free. Everything has to be earned. Maybe one day if you work hard you can be like me.
