Crossfire turns over but wont start
As you might have read here before, make damn sure you buy the OEM part, I got mine from Rob at Needswings for $44.
If you suspect fuel pressure issues, it is wise to buy a cheap ($35-50) kit to measure pressure at the fuel rail. It must be 58-62psi anytime the key is on.
Just "Looking at" the fuel filter/regulator is a waste of time.
The fuel filter is also the pressure regulator and is mounted next to the fuel pump, under the car just ahead of the differential on the passenger side.

If he interacts with AMericans a lot, I'll bet he's way ahead of you OR me.
I am completely unfamiliar with our MB electron ignition system but I have had some experience with antique vehicle electronic ignition conversions. A Petronix ignition system which uses a hall effect module requires an input voltage of >4.3 volts to function. If our MB ignition system functions in a similar manor your battery output might be below the required potential needed for ignition to occur.
I would replace the battery, thoroughly clean the cable connections, and change both the cam and crank sensors with Bosch replacements.

Dear GraemeQ
A new RCM is available via FCPeuro.com here in US for $164. usd. Check their site https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mer...lay-1705450305.
You can cross reference MB SLK320 parts for xfire use. Maybe you can locate the same SLK320 part for less at a local MB supplier in NZ or have someone in the forum ship one to you unless your customs will open the package.
Just a thought.
Cheers

You can also contact tighed1@hotmail.com. He rebuilds them and maybe he could help.
For a lot less than that, you could send it to DJ and let him refurbish it. HOPEFULLY, it won't sit at customs too long.
