having problem when i step on the accelerator
last week there is a problem started with my crossfire, when i step on the accelerator the car doesn't respond immediately, it takes time and sometimes the fuel the engine gets isn't enough so the car just shuts down. this problem is really annoying the only way to not have it is to accelerate slowly. that was going to get me in accident few times. this problem happens if i step on the accelerator 25% of the way down or more. anytime i wanna move the car now i should keep my leg on the clutch for a bit long after every stop.
Perform a throttle reset.
1. Turn the key to the on (not start) position, the position just before the starter turns over.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.
3. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Don’t remove the Key. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment.
Start car, might be a bit rough wait for it to learn the new mixture and calm down to normal idle.

I was advised to try a throttle reset too...
Does this also sharpen up the throttle pedal response ?
At the moment, the 1st 1/3rd of the throttle is nice and gentle, which is perfect for some of the town driving I do, and I have to push throttle all the way down for more urge on the free way.
what does the reset achieve re pedal feel/performance/progression of power ?
Thanks

I am always amazed when I hear of problems this significant and no check engine lite. Pedal down, car not going, even I can tell that's not right. How many lines of code can it be?
Could there still be an error code stored?

The 2 times I've had this happen to me I read the codes. Did a throttle reset then read codes a little later to find that they had cleared and none were stored.
Sometimes sensors just misread. In a survey on reliabilty the majorityof issues reported were electrical gremlins. There is thread somewhere about it with a link

The battery can cause this as well. On these drive by wire systems the correct voltage must be available at all times - even a slight decrease can create problems. If the battery is weak, the sensor for the accelerator may not be sending the proper signal and so the car isn't getting the fuel it needs as it needs it. It may be time to change the battery if it's old.

Just Sayin'. I had it happen on a car that didn't have a spoiler. Regardless of whether anyone on the forum has experienced this or not, it's worth checking the battery because it can happen.
i have tried doing that but it didn't work. took it to chrysler dealer and i was told that i should change the air flow sensor "Code: P0102" as they said it gonna cost me 1900$ (australian dollars) i think it's a rip off tbh.
