This thread might help:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...y-wires-3.html

Also, an easy way to find answers to your questions is use the "search" button and look for some key words. I will go to the "Advanced Search" under the "Search" tab and it seems to give better results when searching for more than one word (i.e. "seatbelt" & "chime").

Good luck!!

I may be old fashioned but many new posters seem to demand an answer. The word please is noticeably absent from their post and a thanks is missing later as well.

I realize that they may be texting all day but there is no restriction here on a word count.

Rant over.

Just last wednesday, at the Rideau Carleton Raceway cruise night, I was doing this procedure assisted by a fellow red coupe owner, Jeff. A few weeks before that, Jeff also showed a few of us how to program the remote entry module so it would unlock all doors on a single remote activation.

Edit:
1)Turn key to ON/START - within 60 seconds, turn ignition OFF and fasten the driver seat belt.
2)Start engine and wait for the seat belt light to turn off.

3)Within 60 seconds unbuckle/rebuckle the seat belt 3 times - ending with buckled, you will hear a single chime (sometimes this verification chime is slightly different just the same it works to disable the chime).

This confirms you have turned the repeater chimes off. Repeat the sequence or disconnect the battery to restore the reminder function."

No problem - glad to help. Kinda glad you brought it up as the chime has bothered me at times as well. Every time I sit down to the Forum, I forget to look it up. Gonna have to do this on mine and see if I can get it to work.

Cheers!!

180 - I've read hundreds of these threads looking for stuff and see your advice in a lot of them - as well as your razzing. I have to tell you, I truly enjoy your style of humor and wit. I catch myself chuckling out loud at times after reading some of your posts. Keep up the good work and keep showing us newbies how it's done

I tend to miss the lack of a "please" or a "thank you" in the new requests because I get too excited that I might be able to help someone before one of you experts gets to chime in. Makes me feel like I actually might know something about this complex machine I own - or at least how to work a search button

Take care

RL

Ok guys. My "seatbelt chime" solution. I went to a "pull-a-part" and browsed the import car section, looking at seat belts. I found a couple that seemd close and cut off the metal connectors from the donor cars. Turned out that 1 fit -- from a volvo I think(?). When in place, the seat-belt chime is deactivated. When my wife takes the SRT (and she always wears her seat-belt) she tosses it on the passenger floor for me to find when I drive it again.

Why don't you just program the seatbelt disable through the procedure listed here in the forum. Unless you disconnect the battery, you'll never hear the thing again. Disconnecting the battery resets the chime so you'll have to reprogram the disable to get it to stop again.

I guess he wants his wife to hear the chime.
