N/A performance stats
i was wondering if anyone has fooled around with any of those cell phone gps apps that log times or any gtech style unit? i messed around with one that put my 0-60 in the 5's on a rainy day with wheelspin... so discounted that one as being accurate, but i used another that gave me a 14.1 1/4 time, which is at least closer. just wondering anyone elses experiences, i would love to know what numbers some of the other modified n/a's put down

The NeedsWings CAI cuts nearly a 1/2 sec. off the automatic's ET's.
Never heard anybody's times with a 6 spd.
But if the 6 sp. responds the same way to the CAI as the automatics do, then that should put it in the low 14's.
With out a time slip, it didn't happen.
MusclecarGuy ran a 14.40 verified, I think he said 14.38 unverified. I think he said his car was all stock.
(But then it's White), and as everybody knows, White NA's are the fastest color.
i agree, there dont seem to be many timeslips for the n/a cars though, personally ive run an 1/8th mile track in 9.8, which is about a 15 second 1/4, i have slips somewhere but there shouldnt be much debate over that slow of time, in my defense it was my first time drag racing (.500 rts), was running lean, and it was summer in fl, anxious to go back or maybe even to the 1/4 track in orlando
I ran a 14.6 with pretty much every bolt on, I did drive my car 2+ hours in traffic to the track though and it was heat soaked... plus it was my first time at the track. I found it really hard to get off the line with the traction control.
I've always wanted to go to a dragstrip or participate in track days , but I've always been to scared, never knew where you go after the quarter mile is over
I'm a puss sometimes haha , but 0-60 times is all i care for

based on your timeslip i would think a better reaction time would get you to 14.1-2 range, which means there might be hope of an n/a breaking 14s without nos
here's the slip in question:

My traction control would kick in (even though it was turned off) every time my rear tires would break lose, even if it was nothing more than a "chirp" .
I don't know how anybody with a 6 spd. can race at a dragstrip with out disconnecting their traction control at the main source.

It's all It took to make my car ack like a normal car. It never kicks in if the rear tires break lose, it hasn't gone into limp mode even once for any reason.
Of course it doesn't give you posi traction, but you never had that to begin with,
