I couldn't agree more! There will always be faster/glitzier/bigger/smaller/louder cars. It's best to enjoy your car for what it is, rather than try to turn it into something it isn't. I have owned cars much slower than an NA xfire that I enjoyed terribly.

Much truth.

One of the most enjoyable vehicles I've owned was also the slowest. I had a V-6 Ranger with a 8.8' locker in the rear diff, with just enough torque to make the truck go sideways on demand. It was a 15-second truck at the fastest, but it was such a hoot to drive I didn't care.

Yep, I bought a little 87 (I believe) Toyota Tercel hatchback with a 5 spd for $500. I drove that little car and enjoyed 38 mpg for roughly 2 yrs and 35,000 miles of trouble-free driving only to sell it for $1500 to a guy with a Honda s2000. It was to be used as a second car to keep the mileage off of his Honda. Unfortunately, about 2 weeks after purchase, a 1 ton truck crossed the center line and hit him head on, killing the car and him. Very sad. RIP brother!

Also, had an 84 Fiero SE and an 86 Fiero GT. Both fun cars...especially the SE after a V8 Northstar conversion, lol. Talk about a Corvette-killing sleeper. At least until 100mph , where it ran out of gear, but got there very quick haha

My 86 RX-7 was my POS but bad-mobile. It felt like it took 10 seconds just to hit second, but every corner ,whether I wanted to or not, was grins and smoke. I used to joke about putting a Sumo wrestler on top of the gas tank so I could get to school without having to look around for cops. lol.. Someday it will be running again, it's just one of those things, ain't got time.

Love those old rotary motor cars! Too bad the rotary in the RX8 is such a piece. I would buy one to play with if they were more durable like the ole tried and true RX7 rotary. I saw on a RX8 forum that they have a section dedicated to new engines. WTF? They had MANY people on there with 60K and were on their second and third engines??? Crazy!

Sounds like the RX-3! lol. My dad said he was lucky to get 20xxx out of his motor, but his was supercharged. Im still waiting for the 16X and what they do with it. It sounds pretty bad... NA they are guessing around the same power as the 93 RX TT.
