07 6spd 82,160 miles
Today I paid a local garage $237.40 (labor + tax) to :
1. Replace the antifreeze
2. Replace the spark plugs
3. Replace the brake fluid
I provided:
1. 1.5 gallons Zerex G-05 + 1.5 gallons Distilled H2O ($27)
2. 12 Double Platinum Plugs (<$20 (sale + rebates))
3. 1 liter of Pentosin Super DOT-4 ($15)
Total parts & labor = <$300
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chrysler Dealership quoted about $1,150..........

I admit I'm a cheapskake...still on original brake pads....no indicator light yet. I'm under the impression the rotors on XFs can't (or shouldn't be turned), anyone think just replacing the pads is a super stupid idea??
>82,000 miles.....lot's of highway miles....down shift a lot (6spd).

Lifetime Powertrain Warranty.....only unexpected thing I've ever paid for yet was 2 light bulbs (dims).

actually good question, i would want to ask the same
last night i did my oil change witch is alway nice and pricey, and i did my spark plugs (no wires), spark plugs sucks the boots are a pain in the ***!!!, also bought a fuel filter going on sometime this week. what do people think about doing a trans flush or the rear end, i was always told once your around the high miles leave good enough alone....any thoughts? has never been changed to my mileage since 20k wen i bought it (correction i only have 88k)
I change the diffy and tranny fluids in my A6 2.7T MT6 every 60k and intend to do the same with my Crossfires. I'm less diligent about brake fluid but probably should do that in the next year or two. I intend to change the roadster tranny fluid this fall when I have the EOY oil change before hibernation. Even though only 40k, I read it may improve the 1-2 shift and remain hopeful.

I changed my plug wires for peace of mind, plus I was already in there so figured why not.

This kinda Cracks me up (£ Rotate tires.) that would be pretty expensive seeing as how the tires on my Xfire would have to be dismounted from the rim... Did the Xfires come with omnidirectional tires from the Factory?

Steering locking bolts? Ill have to check on that. Luckily the flex discs still look good.
And no way in hell is the manual tranny fluid filled for life, toss some synthetic in that bad boy!

Yea.. thats what the manual say's to do... but I have unidirectional tires... so rotation is impossible. My question was did the Xfire come from the factory with Omnidirectional tires?
