Any really want a V8 coupe?
arghhhh i JUST bought my crossfire. if you wanted to trade plus cash i would be in! that way you could sell mine and get your money out of it all, plus you would know it was going to a good home
just saying!
How do I find Lantanna from San Antonio? My phone is 210 648 5779. I would like to see this car. I have some interest, some resources and a lot of curosity. Thanks Please excuse that I do not know how to P.M.

I've loved these cars since I was 11 or twelve, no need to "school" me on them.
I never use to be a "Ford Guy" and that's probably the biggest reason there isn't an "original" aluminium bodied Cobra sitting in my garage right now.
Automotive "bigotry" has cost me 100's of Thousands of dollars over the years. Instead of having an AMX that's only worth about 25k, there could have been a 67 or 68 Shelby Mustang, or a real aluminium 289 Cobra in my collection.
A 427/435hp 1967 Vette could have been there too, or even a Hemi Cuda Vert. But no, I had to be different and buy a brand new Rambler instead. When I could have picked up any of those other cars 2nd. hand back then for the same price I paid for my "New" AMX.

Not complaining, I'm just saying.
Guys who sent emails and PM's. I have been traveling on business this week but will be home Thursday (tomorrow) and will be getting back to you then. Thank you for the interest!
Yes I am on the forum! Maybe even spend a little too much time on here haha
Hello Crossfire Fans
I am the lucky owner of the Lantana sweepstakes. His V8 will be in my garage as os this Friday. Merry Christmas to me. It is my plan to continue with Bob's vision for this car. We will be adding FA TBD and will be looking for Vettes to challenge by this summer. I know the legend of this car and will keep you all appraised of future sagas. I love my current 2004 NA, same color, but was looking for an SRT. I read every blog I could get my hands on about this car and want to make sure it becomes one of the premier Crossfires on this planet. Hope to meet you all soon when this project comes to fruition.

Go ahead and do what you want, keep us informed and we'll be with you all the way.
Just know it's already a VERY special Crossfire. One I will never forget riding in at the Fall Dragon a while back....
Today is my last day with the Crossfire and It doesn't look like a great day for a final drive. Dallas got a few inches of snow yesterday. It is currently 21 degrees and only getting to 35 today. Tomorrow warms up to 47 so it should be a decent day for a drive to Phoenix for the new owner. I did buy a new key for the car since I only had one and it was looking well used. The dealer called and the key is in. They have to program it so the car so I may have to drive to dealer today iif the roads aren't iced over or the progamming may have to wait until Phoenix. Last week I picked up a CLK as my new daily driver and will be driving to Houston on Friday to pick up the Lotus.

I believe this is it.
Transmitter programming by the customer is done by performing the following steps:
1. Insert the key into the ignition switch.
2. Press either the lock or unlock button momentarily twice.
3. Turn the key in the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 30 seconds.

I drove to dealer thinking they had to program it. Got there and the new key started the car right up. Got home and found the door locks didn't work. Did a quick forum search and programmed the door locks in about 4 seconds. Now I have to start emptying out the glove box and arm rest area.

The V8 is now somewhere in West Texas on its way to its new home. The new owner seemed to really like the car. He said it actually had a better ride than his stock '04. that says alot for the voughtland springs and Koni shocks.
The are the standard staggered 2010-2011 Mercedes SL550 wheels. they are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5
