That code usually points to a bad "conductor plate" in the trans. Here is a thread you should read

hey people's. im back.
ok so I changed the condutor plate and got the yellow plug also a new gasket and new atf and had thrm fitted.today the mechanic said that the car still the same. im so pissed right now.
he said the car knocks in to drive and still not changing gear.but he rang me yesterday and said that the bottom of my car was drenched in oil.which must of been the old gasket.
so where is the turbine speed sensor on the crossfire?

If you look at the picture in this post (click) you will see the parts that can cause the problem. The problem is called 'limp mode', the transmission stays in second gear only so as not to cause damage to itself.
The part consists of two parts screwed together, the electrical plate and the solenoid plate. Which part was replaced or were both replaced?

Try this :
( note : the troubleshooting procedure for the P0715 is pretty involved, it starts on 21-92 of the 2005_Crossfire_SRT6_Service_manual.pdf that can be downloaded from the below links )

If the code is not cleared properly the transmission will go right back into limp mode.

hey guys. i changed the condutor plate twice and still no change.i went to a crossfire dealer today and the guy put it on the computer for free for me.i think he could see how upset i was.now he came back with p0715 which could be wiring fault or condutor plate or transmission control module

i need to know a bit more about the module.
if i get a mudule on ebay will i have to get it programmed even if it came out a crossfire?
anyone got or had the same problem? if so how did you fix it?

Your speed sensor should be plugged right into the top of your transmission. it has a pin that holds it in place, once you pull the pin out turn it clockwise then pull straight out and it will drop then unplug the connector and you've got it out and ready to be replaced.

Could I ask exactly where you would suggest getting the Valve plate that has the sensors on it for code p0715? I don't want to end up with a crappy part, but I also don't want to spend $350. So, does anyone know of a reliable part for this?

Hello sir.... I'm having the same problem read? Alright I've had a major issue since I bought my 05 Crossfire.. 1 month after I bought my car it would stall out in 1st or 2nd gear and I would Have to stop turn the car off and restart the car for it to drive correctly. 4 months later the same problem consist but now the car is stuck in 1st gear and will not shift... Also the check engine light is on and the codes I'm getting are p0715 & another code that says the tcm has malfunctioned I think it's p0705. Also I go to put the car in reverse and it jerks into reverse and I place it in D and it jerks into 1st then I drive it and the cars RPM's rev up and doesn't shift??? I unplugged the TCM and the battery but the check engine lights still on and the car still acts up.... What gives, pleasssse HELP?!?!

The transmissions are sealed from the factory but they can be checked by removing a cap and then you'll need a certain length flexible plastic stem to check the level. There is a thread on here somewhere that describes the procedure. If you've lost fluid through a leak (possibly the transmission connector) then the car can go into limp mode and exhibit many of these issues. It's always best to start with the simpliist thing to check, which would be for leaks and fluid level. I'm not saying it might not be something else, but............

Even if you have to take it to a tranny / dealer, you should have the fluid level and connector checked.

Best of luck. I hope it's something simple.
