Exclamation ABS, BAS/ESP, Emergency Brake, Brake Pad light, Spoiler deploys on start

So I am having a major problem on my 04' Crossfire that is getting worse with time. It has been happening for about a month now, but this week took it to another level. When I am trying and start my car I will put my key in the ignition and turn it to the run position, all the warning lights come on as usual, but when I try turning it over, the car will sometimes do absolutely nothing mechanical. I turn the car off, take the key out, put it back in, and try starting it. It will usually start the car right up after doing that, but sometimes I might have to repeat the cycle (like this morning when I had to repeat the cycle 7 times). The NEXT problem is when the car starts. As soon as my car starts, my spoiler will automatically deploy along with the light on the spoiler switch flashing. I then have to turn my car off and turn it back on so that the light on the switch stops flashing allowing me to put the spoiler back down. Also when I start my car, sometimes my ABS, BAS/ESP, Emergency Brake Light, and Wore Brake Pads Light will all come on at the same time. I again have to turn my car off and start it to make the lights disappear. Usually I have to do this cycle only one time, but yesterday right after church I had to repeat this cycle 4 times before the lights went away. Last week on Tuesday I was driving it on a 45mp road and all four lights came on; this was the first time this happened while driving. It did nothing to my car EXCEPT automatically shifted me down one gear and WOULD NOT shift back up. I looked at the gear screen next to the clock in my gauge cluster and the screen was totally black (no 1, 2, 3, 4, or D). Before I could pull my car over to check it, all the lights disappeared and my transmission shifted back to normal as if nothing ever happened. This same case also happened yesterday as I was leaving the church parking lot. I have noticed the spoiler will ALWAYS automatically deploy when the four lights come on, but will also automatically deploy WITHOUT the four lights. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP!!!

send an email to tighed1@hotmail.com about sending in your RCM module for overhaul.
Ask him about a complete relay replacement just to be sure.
( you may also need a new battery )

Could also be a failing battery. I'd have it checked. If so will have also set many "low voltage" codes but need a Merc scanner to read.

IF its your abs module and a code of c2200 heres my tale.

Here is a posting from, my ram forum I put up yesterday:

Just checking in to let you know what I discovered.

I would not buy another mopar after dealing with the local dealer after owing a 84 and 88 daytona Cs series, 2004 durango, 2009 ram 1500, 1973 challenger with 6 pack 440 and 05 crossfire. They are theives clear and simple.

Got a hub replaced and after 40 miles of driving got an abs light ( above) after finding that the dealer wanted 160$ for pulling the codes that I have gotten they were wanting much more to fix issue.

wENT TO EBAY GOT AN ABS MODULE FOR $160 AND WENT TO LOCAL SHOP WHERE $84 INSTALLED THE VIN NUMBER FIXING THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. C2200 is internal module fault, known issue and TSB is out on it saying module is to be flashed by dealer ( never gonna happen ).

2. COde will not clear, you have to swap out the module and vin code it to fix the issue. NO RESET will work.

3. Never go to the dealer unless warranty covers all charges. They wanted $2200 to pull the dash for the ac motor replacement on a door. Part came from ebay for 17$ shipped and it behiind the glove box, with 2 screws - 10 minute job!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Use Utube and ebay and local repair shops --- dealers never.

************************************************** ********************

My dealer Linsay dodge in manassas has driven my to nix further dodges. I sorta want a hemi challenger to go with my 440-6pac challenger 1973 and a replacment for my 2004 hemi durango. Lousy service - leave it for a day for inspections.... $160$ to read codes that I have pulled and found a a TSB for.... Screw them I refuse to let them profit from my service. I HAVE DECIDED IAM GOING FOREIGN AT THE AGE OF 71.

Ford dropped v8's

Chevy interiors fall apart

DOdges have lousy service and predatory pricing

So its off shore for me Nissan - Toyota - Subaru or something not riddled with stealership attitudes.

NO CAR IF ITS A MOPAR and this goes back some 50 years !!!!!!!!!!!!

Illegitimi non carborundum

If your RCM works try swapping the ABS module, located on driver side in front on the fuse box. Worked for me

I had similar symptoms. I thought it was the battery at first, but it turned out to be the RCM was bad even after the resolder. I have more than 1 XF so swapped out the RCMs and it solved the problem and moved the problems to the donor car. Amazon has aftermarket plug and play RCMs for $150 if you need one. always good to have a backup anyway.
