Newbie
I just joined and I want to say HI to all of you in the forum.
A week ago I picked up my Crossfire Coupe, Silver Blue, AT. I love this car since I saw it the first time. Now it's mine!
It is a real eye catcher everywhere I drive. Today I tested the high-speed. Up to 220Km/h (~135M/h) it's real fun an you feel the power. After that it starts frighten and the HP come to the limit. There were some BMW and Mercedes faster than me ... but, at the petrol station, the looks applied to the Crossfire and not to the ordinary cars.
And that's why this car is just great and unique!
Sorry my english - might get better ... Just an European

Congratulations on your new car! We know JUST HOW YOU FEEL! It's a fantastic car.
Do you speak German in Switzerland? Your English is very good!
Have fun with your new ride (looks like you already are) and drive safe!
Welcome.

Welcome.
I'm sure you'll love it.
I love how everybody stops to look at the car.
My wife reckons someone is going to have a crash going past our house looking at the car.
Norrie.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome.
I indeed do enjoy the car. The last two days i spent crossing the country... marvelous!
MI Roadster: Yes, we do speak german in Switzerland. Beside that, there's a part that speaks french (i.e. Canada) and another one speaking italian. But we're doing fine understanding each other. Sometimes ;-)
Dan Root: I really could need some parts from USA. The european rear bumper lights are orange! In fact they are no lights, reflectors only. I'd like to replace them with red ones like you have in US. Looks much better. Are they illuminated or just reflectors too? Can you recommend a good online-shop?
Thanks and greets.

Hi Landsman,
Actually it is my husband who is Swiss. He is originally from Morgenthau, near Aarau. We have friends (Tavari) in Zurich. I am so happy to hear that the Swiss have also embraced my favorite car! We have a blaze red '05 Roadster and we absolutely LOVE IT!! Your English is just fine and contrary to what many Europeans think, Americans are very friendly, understanding, and love Europeans!
Good luck with your beautiful auto!!

Ah yes, the elusive Crossfire…. The sports car jewel in the Chrysler Brand crown…. Sad to say good people, Robin T is not a fortunate one.... Alas, practicality prevents me from indulging… As you probably know I’m in Michigan too, and from one Michiganer to another winters here aren't very forgiving. So that’s why I'm driving a big ol' truck! I call her Mob because she’s huge (full size 1500) and white… That right she’s not a Ram good people she’s a WHALE.... But I love her dearly, and one day she may be fortunate enough to have a Crossfire to snuggle up with in the garage, but, not today….
So listen, I have it on EXCELLENT authority that there’s going to be a 2006 Crossfire, I know that there were some questions floating around out there…. If you’re thinking about going for a new Xfire MIRoadster, you can donate your Crossfire to a worthy cause… (hint, hint, nudge, nudge)
DanRoot, behave…..
Just kidding you two, thanks for the conversation,

Welcome aboard and I'm pretty new myself and remember these cars only came out about a year and half ago, so we're all "newbies" when you think about it. When you said you had the car up to 220KM/135 mph, was that as fast as you wanted to go or was that as fast as the car felt "safe"?
It was as fast as the car felt safe. I could have gone faster, but above 230km/h (143MPH) the car increases speed slowly (then you would need more HP). And the second point is that the suspension starts to feel a little spongy. Needs to be harder/stiffer. But up to this speed it's real pleasure and fun to drive a crossfire! Especially accelerating from ~160 to 220km/h, when the AT shifts back to the 4th and the RPM go toward the 'red' ... what a sound from exhaust!!! Shame I can't overtake myself to hear that.
