Default Any body know why

Hi all, anyone know why my new/secondhand replacement alarm works different than how everyone else has described. I followed the thread describing how to replace and with what but mine seems to work opposite with regards to the chirps. It chirps three times to unlock and nothing to lock. Everything seems to function as should ie. sounds when disconnneted or deliberately set off, sets and does not go off unintentionally. Any ideas, thanks.

A1718202526 Which was the same as was on it but did not work due to the batteries leaking acid on to the board.

The beeping is controlled by the security pump in the trunk, the siren itself is pretty dumb. The pump tells it what to do.
That is my understanding, do you have water in the well where the pump sits? Stick a taper of newspaper down the gap between the foam and the well side.

Hi and thanks but no water down there had the whole well thing stripped down foam out the lot to see before I found out about the batteries leaking acid. Everything was dry as a bone and no signs of water.
