Default Push to start

I'm looking for a push button start kit and someone to install it in the Myrtle Beach South Carolina area. Just purchased an 06 limited coupe and only came with one key.

Wcaugherty, there is a lot more to a push button start on a Crossfire than a simple wire splice. The anti theft systems is integrated into the FOB and the switch. You would be creating more problems than solving any. In the upper right corner of the forum is a search box. Type in "push button" and search, read the threads, you will soon see only a very few have done the start button and they did much more than simply buying a kit.

PS Welcome to the forum; check here first for trouble shooting advice and NEVER EVER take your car to a Chrysler dealership!

And one guy brought me one in 2015, he wanted the push button start removed - the installation was such an abortion (as they usually are, you can't expect good workmanship for an install that costs $100-200) that I was NOT going to get involved.

And if you do take the car to a dealer, make sure to leave a blank check taped to the dash. You won't get your car fixed, but at least they can fill the amount in for you.

Wcaugherty, Welcome to the forum. My wife and I are currently in North Myrtle Beach. We are spending the month of February on the Grand Strand. We will be going back home on Saturday. We have seen a blaze red coupe twice in North Myrtle Beach. Is that your car? We own a 2004 blaze red pearl coupe with 35K miles. I agree with the other comments on your post - don't try to have a start button installed and don't ever go to a Chrysler dealer. The Crossfire is really a Mercedes Benz 320 SLK. Look for an independent repair shop that specializes in European cars.
