Stay or go????
Re: Stay or go????
Contemplating the SRT coupe.
On Edmunds, the True Market Value for the SRT in my area is $44,862. Right now Chrysler is offering the employee price at a $4,032 discount plus an additional $2000 cash incentive.
That would bring the purchase price to $38,830!
Not too shabby!
After they give me my $18,000+ (down + monthly pmts)
I've sunk into the car over the last year...
This may seem doable.
I'm going to test drive again.
This way I could keep my aftermarket wheels & tires & put on the suspension kit I have waiting for me.
Thanks for the opinions. The general concensus seems to be to get my money back.
I think I'll do that regardless. Stay tuned.

Re: Stay or go????
Seems like the thing to do is take the money, buy what you want, and let hubby get something with a back seat! After carrying for 9 months, and giving birth, that's little sacrifice for him, but shows great gratitude for you(I think I may be biased after having 3 babies in less than 3 1/2 years, and maybe a little jealous that I couldn't have a fun car when I was young.)
Anywho, if you only have 1, you can still put him or her in the front of a 2 seater(since they have the airbag disable button) and when those crabby times arise, you can BOTH enjoy the ride!
Good luck with your decision, and your future! Keep us posted!

Re: Stay or go????
Currently there are 3 SRT coupes on ebay. A black one in St. Louis, $34,100 current bid. A gray one in New York, $32,100 bid. And a blue one in Mich. 0 bid but they want a starting bid of at least $36,900. Reserve hasn't been met on any as of yet. $2,000 cash incentive is applicable on these cars because they are brand new. If you're willing to take a flight to pick up your car you could save thousands. Heck, send them your photo and they'll probably deliver it to you...Good Luck with what ever you decide.

Re: Stay or go????
Take the money and you can't go wrong, but you could consider leasing if you just think you want it for a few years (Then buy a Firepower)...you can probably get a really good lease rate for only about another two weeks with the 05' models, and therefore are only on the line for three years, which should work with the rugrat concern you expressed.
