Default Broken key

I have an ‘08 crossfire, the key literally broke in half. Not just at the fob but in the middle of the key shaft. Does anyone have ANY recommendations for reattaching? Can’t be welded.
Replacement is my next step but that appears to be just as difficult.
HELP!

Do you mean inside the lock or outside?

That is called the "blade" in our little world.

Rob at Needswings will get you fixed up, he is our original "go to guy" for support for the car and has been with us longer than the 14 years I've been here.

FAQ:
  • What is the turnaround time for key’s?
Typically 1-3 business days. The reason there is no online purchase option is because we need to coordinate your needs vs my stock. My supply is a, as ordered basis, meaning that I do not typically carry the fobs on hand. My supplier is able to get them to me before you would if you choose to ship standard USPS priority, however if you do overnight then there may be a delay. Just get ahold of me so that we can coordinate the timing. Note: IR Key’s take 2 weeks to receive but I try to have a stock of those. Again, just ask so that we can coordinate you down time to as little as possible.
  • Is there any type of warranty or free replacement on key’s?
Because the key’s are ordered through a 3rd party supplier that does not offer me replacement or refund, we do not offer a replacement or refund. There is no need to worry as there has never been a problem, but it is worth noting that all sales are final on key’s.

If you are not happy with your key for some reason, I will work with you to fix the issue. Although I cannot replace or refund, I will fix any issues that you may have within reason. It is never our responsibility to fix an issue that was due to negligence on your end.
  • What shipping is included if any?
I offer USPS priority shipping on return only, with the minimum insurance and no guarantee for $15. This is 2-3 days to anywhere in the US. If you are out of country then return shipping starts at $30 for small packages.

Note: There has never been a non-delivered package from my facility to an owner using USPS priority.
  • What if the synchronization process on the flip-key’s doesn’t work?
This is rare, but it does happen. What you need to do is replace the battery in the fob. The new fob’s take 1 CR2032, and if after that the replacement still doesn’t work, you need to try 1 brand new CR2032 & 1 CR2016 together and put in correctly. If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to contact me.
  • After a SKREEM/DAS fix or All Keys Lost can you make me new key’s without needing a key to do so?
In some situations I will have enough data from your car after a SKREEM rebuild or AKL situation to make key’s without the need of you sending in anything.
  • Can you make more IR key’s after I send in my EIS?
Yes. After I collect the data from your EIS I will always be able to make you new key’s without needing any additional items sent in.
