What do you think happened? LOL
maybe they wanted out of their current lease & had gap insurance
Stupid risk for what $10K or so. Would imagine jail for fraud and arson in the US.

What a shame.
What a shame.

Maybe that's what happened to that rim. I would like to see the other side of the car. I want to see if the other rim has had the same fate as the other side.
And no it doesn't look like my car. I don't find that comment funny at all. It would have been funnier if someone said..."See... Look what happens when you put on an intake. That wacky saskins...

So that could have been an accelerated fire. The results of an accelerated fire are things like abnormally high temps. An Example: If you look at what happened on Sept the 11th to the Twin Towers. The jet fuel created an inferno so hot, that it literally liquefied the steel support structures of those upper floors.

" Now that's a much funnier pock. But that's just me.

So let me get this straight SASKINS. You mean to tell me that you would have found it "funnier" if I had poked fun at your air intake system? (A device that you obviously worked very long and hard on with the hope that you will some day be able to successfully promote and profit from.) Instead of me jokingly suggesting that you finally reached the end of your rope with your warranty problems and simply torched your car...Yeah right. How could I have been so insensitive.
Rob M:
It was just an idea, I don't really know what happened, just throwing it out there.

I do think it is funnier. Its a simple cause and effect scenario. I don't really find "me lashing out at Chrysler and torching a car that I love" to be funny. It's just not in my nature to destroy something that I care about. Especially when it is something that I have invested a ton of time, money & self into. The guy that torches his car, because he's pissed at the manufacturer is childish for one, and two he just gave himself a very expensive lesson. Insurance fraud is quit costly I hear.
Dude it was joke man chill. Your at 10, we need ya at a 2.

I have seen similar effects before. When at uni a classmate had a Reliant Scimitar (1970's attempt at a performance car be a small UK manufactured, fiberglass on ladder chassis with a F*ord V6 3L, ugly as well but love by some).
He drove home one day, parked outside, went in and a while later saw a glow outside, fire inside the cabin. (Was thought to be a electrical fault - very common on those cars main reason that there are very few left). He tried to put it out, called the fire brigade who put it out. I think all in less than 30 minutes, little trace of the alloy wheels and no sign of some of the lighter alloy parts in the engine bay - carb etc. I know aluminum doesn't usually "burn", and a thermite (chemical reaction) is unlikely but there did appear to be "missing" material.

Reminds me of that picture of the worlds ugliest dog (that is attached here)...there is still beauty, despite the outward appearance. (Though I'd bid about 2 dollars for that particular crossfire).
