Default Adding Foglamps on base model?

Anyone here savvy enough on the internals to know what would be involved with this install?

Fog lamps are one thing I miss from the Limited - - -

Is the wiring harness already there at the lamps and the dash? Forgive my ignorance, but I don't pick up the car until Tuesday, and someone stole the owners manual out of it, so that's on order by the dealership - - - I don't even know where the switch would be, I'm assuming it's one of the "dummies" on the console - -

It is part of the headlamp switch, you pull it to turn on the fog lamps. I have not played with a base coupe so I am not 100% sure if the switch is the same.

someone else in the past was wanting to add fogs to a base crossfire... he stated, the wire harness was not behind the headlamp switch or bumper/fog lamp cover. you would have to run the wiring from the switch to the lamps. probably not too hard to do.

I just noticed my 2nd CRACKED fog lamp. They get $120. for replacements!!! I wouldn't bother if you have any pebbles on the road!

I wouldn't buy a base either because they discount the LTDs so much!!!

I added fog lamps to my base roadster last year. I was fairly simple to do. I got both fog lamps on ebay used for a lot less than new ones at the dealership. You do have to run wiring from the back of the switch to the lamp itself. You can go to http://homepage.mac.com/gregmeach/XFire/ and go to the lighting section to see exactly what terminals on the back of the switch you have to hook up for the power to the fog lights. Also, you need to insert the proper fuse into the side of the switch. It turns on by pulling the **** one time.

If you need any other help, PM me!

I don't know if it is the factory repair manual, but it is pretty darn accurate. It applies to my '05 and I don't think that there have been many changes if any at all since the inception.

Maybe someone else can confirm this?

It is an incomplete copy of the factory manual.

I have a 2007 base, would like to install OEM fog lights. The link in your older post is not active any longer (about the wiring), any chance you could resend it? When I spoke to Chrysler parts, they say the OEM wire harness on the base does not have the wiring for fog lights, assuming this is why you ran the wire for the fog lights. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The install is extremely easy. Here are two threads you may want to read. I wired mine directly to the fuse box as mentioned, and the fog lights work with the switch just as the factory intended. They even come on for a minute or so after you shut off your car and leave it, just as the factory intended.
You DO NOT have to remove the dash switch.

Selling the "blanks" that were in the fog light holes by chance?
