If you use a starter solenoid you won't need a 60 amp switch. Also the longer the wire run the larger the wire must be going to the motors. If you use 4 gauge wire you will only have to run one wire to the motors. Put a good ground at the batteries and at the motors.

I spoke with e-ram yesterday, their system runs off the existing electrical system with an actuator switch under the gas pedal. They say it only activates at WOT because it sux too much juice to run constantly. Turns out Mike races his Porsche in SCCA events here in So. Cal.

He claims a dual system in my CAI would achieve a 5% hp gain. That's not a huge increase, but every little bit helps with this car...

I told him I was having a dyno run at Buttonwillow in the next few weeks and would get a baseline w/o his system, then install and re-dyno at the same facility. If I did not achieve the gains in HP he would take the system back and refund the cost... I didn't bother asking him for a demo kit, afterall, he's a small shop and surely needs the money...

I'll keep you guys posted...

Their single system is $299. Since I have dual intake pipes, I would put one on each pipe, thus $600. It seems kinda hokey, but I'll give it a try and post the results...

Hey HDDP, did they say anything about the size of wire recommended? A #4 wire is really large but flexible welding cable or Hypralon will handle the load at a much smaller wire size such as a #6 or #8. I would have to look my welding cable table to find out the exact size for sure.

Welding cable is almost always 0 gauge.

Here's what I got back from Mike today after sending him a photo of my CAI.

Please see the attached picture for information on our recommendation.

I believe the best option for testing purposes will be to mount the e-RAM units in the e-RAM-FILTER configurations as replacements to your existing cone filters. This will allow you to perform the testing without having to make any other modifications to your intake.

Wayne: That was not a discussion I had with Mike... I'll have to get into that with him before I test this thing... He was very interested in the way I'm approaching it with a pre-dyno and post dyno... He did voice a concern about having our MAF at the throttle body and was not sure how the FMU & ECU would react to the additional air. He suggested that my dyno's be done with air/fuel mixture testing as well... Unfortunately that takes my cost from a basic $45 dyno run to $125 for the additional A/F ratio tests. Oh well, one less Cohiba cigar and bottle of 18 y/o single malt scotch... LOL

I'm going to try to get to Buttonwillow on Monday (Presidents Day) since I'm not working... I'll keep you posted...

Cyril: I'll do a test and post the results with dyno print-outs in the next few weeks... I'm skeptical, but what the heck...
