electric supercharger
Re: electric supercharger
^^^ Exactly my point. I spent over $2,000 and it was $2,560 to be exact on exhaust, chip, etc for my S2 and it got me about 2 hp on the dyno. If I can get 10 to 15 hp with a Super Eram for $650 then thats a steal.
I think people are being sarcastic because of all the losers selling leaf blowers on Ebay but the buys website states how the system works and even mentions the leaf blower scam artists. He's got lots of dyno print out and even a race car running the thing.
It won't hurt to see what happens. But people would rather be sarcastic and close minded. Its human nature I guess.

He suggested that my dyno's be done with air/fuel mixture testing as well... Unfortunately that takes my cost from a basic $45 dyno run to $125 for the additional A/F ratio tests. Oh well, one less Cohiba cigar and bottle of 18 y/o single malt scotch... LOL
I'm going to try to get to Buttonwillow on Monday (Presidents Day) since I'm not working... I'll keep you posted...

I have now built up an ISO interface (see attaché) and tried it on the Crossfire - no joy, it won't communicate, but I know my board is OK because I checked it on a Peugeot 307. It is possible that the car uses the CAN version for OBD so I have ordered another chip from Elm that supports this and built up another PCB for it. I am also awaiting a response back from Elm as the list of ISO scanned cars does include several MB 320 cars, not the SLK though. CAN is now becoming the standard for OBD on new models but find it strange that the Crossfire would be using it since it is based on a old MB platform.
This is all starting to get off the subject of this thread so I'll start a new one in the Technical section in case anyone can give some input.
Simon.
Re: electric supercharger
Thanks HDDP, I've started another thread in the Technical section.
I had the same problem back in 2001 with my PT Cruiser, even DC couldn't confirm the protocol and referred me back to my dealer! I eventually found out by trial and error that it was using VPW protocol more often used by GM!
