Check your window sticker... if "Touring Gear" is listed, the answer is yes.

The base Crossfire does not come standard with luggage. Or floor mats for that matter. But if you want either, you are more than welcome to purchase from your preferred dealer! I did buy the mats at $90, but skipped the luggage. After all, IMO this car is better suited to weekend "duffle bag" trips than anything else.

My dealer promised that I'll be receiving them in the mail. I better receive them.

thx ben47, all I had to do is read the window disclosure < duh me.

I have a limited and got the luggage but I wasn't sure if I should mention that to my customer who wants to buy a base one from me here at my dealership, it might wreck him.
I have never sold a base one before...heh.

thanks guys.

If I remember correctly it took about four months and was shipped to my door not to the dealer. As I understood it if you were to buy all three pieces outright it would cost over $800 retail and it's made by the Swiss Army Knife people.

The original luggage was made to fit the package area in the back of the car. I forget the name of the company that made it but it was one of the big handbag companies and it was a three piece set that custom fit the rear package area. Must have cost Chrysler a small fortune on the early Crossfire's. The new luggage is nice but its standard luggage with wheels on it, it does have the Crossfire logo on it. I have an '05 LTD and mine came about two weeks after I bought the car.

Upon coming home from work about 2 weeks after I bought my XF last October, I found a large box waiting for me at my door. Inside the box was what I consider a VERY nice and VERY well made set of luggage. A wheeled carry-on, a duffel, and a satchel made by TRG Accessories, they are of high-grade construction and loaded with pockets and compartments. Every part, from the zippers, to the wheels, to the extension arm and handle, are top quality. The metal Chrysler emblems and Crossfire embossing in the leather trim give a nice touch of class to the appearance. Even the wheels look like little XF Limited wheels. I was/am MOST impressed. To my eye, the set seems far from cheap in terms of retail price.

patpur, was there a different set that preceded what I got? I don't know if I'd call my set "custom fit", but it all fits in quite nicely. And I can hardly imagine Chrysler giving something even better than what I received.

On a side note, I mailed in the registration card that accompanied the luggage (for tracking purposes in case of loss). The card was returned to me as undeliverable. So much for that.

If it is a limited you will get the luggage in about 2 weeks it comes direct from Chrysler. If it is a base model your dealer was wrong, get him to buy it for you. That is if he remembers what he told you.

Again, check your window sticker to see if it lists "Touring Gear". If it does, you should get it within 2-4 weeks after you purchased the vehicle. I think mine was delivered by Fed Ex.

If you're supposed to get it and haven't received it after four weeks or so, check with your dealer and see if they sent in the paperwork. You may have to call Chrysler if the dealer jerks you around. When the car first came out, there were some cases of salesmen ripping off the luggage by having it sent to a different address than what you gave them when you purchased the car.

Do a search, there is tons of posts on the subject.

OK dug into it a little more, the base Crossfire does NOT get the touring gear! And it has nothing to do with the dealership and if he promised you the luggage then he didn't know the base doesn't get it.

The luggage is from Chrysler and there is NO WAY a dealer can keep your luggage there are many fail safes involved to make sure the luggage goes STRAIGHT TO THE OWNERS ADDRESS via UPS or FedEX. Dealer is not involved at all with the luggage for that simple reason, so they can't keep it.

It says Touring Gear right on my window sticker and I got mine 2 weeks after I got the car.

I'm not trying to argue with you, but if you go back to some early post on this forum, there indeed were a few cases of a dealerships filling out the paperwork with an address other than the one the owner listed at the time of sale. But then as with anything else on a forum, it could of been a few BS posts. The vast majority of folks got their luggage within 2-4 weeks, a few it took a little longer.

Midnightman - No you got what we are supposed to get. The early models of the Xfire came with "designer" luggage that was sculpted to fit the rear compartment. I think it was made by Louis Vuitton. I did see this set in the flesh in a dealer showroom so I know it existed. In fact I tried to get my wife to let me get a Crossfire by using that as a bargaining chip. I get the Xfire you get the luggage, please? That didn't work too well. I had to threaten to get my motorcycle license for her to finally give in. And just because I don't have a license doesn't mean I still can't build a bike. Getting off track here.
