Default heater motor wont operate

Like the title says. When I parked it, it was working fine. Now it won't turn on no matter what I try. Fuse is o.k. any ideas?
Thanks

Did you put a volt meter on it? Did you test it? Are you getting power at both ends?

I haven't had a chance to check anything yet. It was working when I parked it so why should it stop now?
I will do more checking tonight after work. I was looking for info on what relay to check for. Also where is the motor located on this car and can the wiring be accessed?

Check the blower motor regulator located behind lower right instrument cover. There is a blue and red wire attached to regulator. Check if it has power, these electrical leads are a one way connection to blower motor.

Thanks for the info. I checked the wires and had power. I removed the next cover and was able to access the motor. It was stuck, I got it to turn and now it works fine. Hopefully if this happens to anyone else they will now know how to fix it. Only two screws and two slip connectors to access motor.

Thanks again

Hey mon no problem - I wish they were all that easy!
I am curious how it was stuck - was there something obstructing?

I had a similar problem, some leaves made there way down there and were making an awful noise. Easy fix, good design.

didn't seem to be anything there it was just like it was welded stuck. no noise like anything is rubbing and no debris fell when I turned it.

The electric motor brushes probably we not making contact. When you spun it by hand they did. This can happen with most electric motors once in a blue moon.
If It doesn't happen again I would just forget about it.
Glad it was an easy fix.

Yes my blower motor was not working properly no more then three or four days ago. I beat on the dash, above the glove box door or there abouts, and it started operating like nothing had ever happened. Go figure. Only problem with beating on the dash in that area is the air bag, hooah?

Once again, this forum has saved the day! I, too, had a blower that just stopped working the other day for no apparent reason. There was no "leaf blower" sound (I used to have that ALL the time in a '90 Saturn SL2). But a quick search of this site and voila I got it working again by following the instructions to just spin the blower. Thank you Thank you
