There's three things that Sharon has going for it: largest shoe store in the world (Reyer's), best wings in the USA (the original Quaker Steak & Lube), and the best Italian food in the US (tons of places) - OK, you're from Jersey, so you probably have good Italian food there too.
By the way you forgot one more thing Sharon has going for it.... A Crossfire Forum member lives there
I haven't been to a Quaker Steak and Lube in a long time! That place was the best........great wings!
BTW......Do you still have to sign a waiver to get the (atomic I think) Hottest wings?

I have contacted the Courtyard Marriott today and got a group rate and block of 20 rooms reserved at the cost of $79.00 per night. These rooms are available for Friday and/or Saturday night.(Aug 15,16)
I will post a link in the next couple of days that is being provided to me with a reservation link to allow us to book our rooms at this special rate.
You will also be able to reserve a room by phone.

just want to say thanks to everyone who is taking the time to get this set up for us.Me and the wife are really looking forward to this.We will have a cooler of beer with us too for the parking lot party
I counted 27 on the list-not too shabby
Remember, while it is called the Woodward Dream Cruise a better name is the Woodward Dream Crawl. The time when you can actually cruise is in the weeks before. Much after midweek and there are tons of cars. This means as a group we can not expect to drive down WW and stay together well. We'll get broken into groups as the lights change on us. Even on Friday night it can take a long time to get anywhere.

Just as long as we know where we are going.

I will be sure to lead you to dinner both nights without a wild ride.
We want everyone to be together and not out lost on the Michigan roads.

I'm glad you remembered; I will bring the book with me if you would like to read it.

Breakfast is $10.00
I was informed that rooms at regular rate with breakfast are $99.00 and without are $89.00
This is what the internet site says also. I have reserved rooms for $79.00 w/o breakfast. For those that choose breakfast $10 will be added to their room charge on their bill. We are still receiving a $10 discounted rate and that was the best group rate available.

I sent an email to "Church Lady" Betty Howe.
She was the wonderful host of our parking spot last year at the church in Ferndale.
message sent:
We have a new spot this year.......
Our parking spot this year is next to the Chrysler Exhibit at mile 13 and Woodward. It is at the Northwood Shopping Center parking lot in Royal Oak We have reserved between 20-30 spots with the availability of up to 50. We have not forgotten about you and the buzz on our forum is busy already planning this years WDC event. I will keep you up to date throughout this year as we continue to grow in attendance.
We currently have 27 Crossfire owners/members attending and it is only January. We expect this number to rise through the year. I invite you and the others from the church to come on down and see all of us this year on Saturday August 16.
Nearly everyone from last year should be coming again this year and many more !!
Hope all is well this New Year for you and your family. Gary (Valkryderguy)
