I'm contemplating taking that Friday off of work....thinking about maybe hitting the Chrysler Museum at the headquarters. I know a few people wanted to do this last year, I don't know if they did though?

My Wife (Sterling) and I are considering the drive, but it will take us two days to get there and then back again. If we come we'll bring both cars.

Put us both on the maybe list for now.

Is there anyone else traveling from the north Jersey area????

We can all hang out by the cars at the hotel and enjoy some beverages of choice in the evenings and if it rains (better not) we move the party into the hotel lobby. They were very accommodating last year and we were respectful of them as well.

We're good for the museum too if we can get across the border early enough on the Friday. Hope it is not like last year (border delay).

You are already on the list to attend. No need to sign up. It's awhile away from now but just keep an eye on the thread for hotel info and other updates as they become available. Later this summer we will probably book rooms and get parking payment info as things get closer.

This is the official website
http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com/

Our parking spot this year is next to the Chrysler Exhibit at mile 13 and Woodward for $25 per car.
It is at the Northwood Shopping Center parking lot in Royal Oak , Mi. This is a excellent location.
Rapp's has us down for between 20-30 spots with the availability of up to 50.
Fun in the sun, TV crews, meeting members from the forum, having thousands of people checking our Crossfires, food and drink

This is our basic outline of activity for the Woodward Dream Cruise 2008 (revised from 2007 WDC meet)
This is only a basic outline of the time line ........

Friday
Some may want to meet at the hotel around noon and go to 2 miles to the Chrysler Museum.
Others arriving later can meet up at the hotel and check in etc.
Then eventually we all go to dinner somewhere as a group.
After dinner return to the hotel for some tailgating.

Saturday
9 am - 10 am- Breakfast at the hotel
10 am - 11:30 am- Cruise Woodward to Royal Oak
11:30 am- Meet and park at the mile 13 lot on Woodward ave.in Royal Oak.
11:30 am - 4:30 pm: Check out the cars, further discussions, wander around looking at other cars, etc.
4:30 pm- Drive to the Restaurant/Bar where we will have reservations.

5:30 pm - ??- Dinner/Drinks, etc. and back to hotel for more visiting etc.

Sunday -
Most have their own plans. Some head back home etc.

Gary/Ryan/Ann

On the Friday, possibly we could have a time and meeting place for those who want to go to the museum. Keep this in mind, when the final plans are firmed up later.

Thanks, Roy

The Chrysler museum is right around the corner from the hotel. Probably a good time to get there would be around noon. (they are open from 10AM till 6PM) It will probably take a couple of hours at most. (MI1XFIRE.....you just want to go so you can look at that turbine..... You're not fooling me! )

This should leave plenty of time for a little Pre-Cruise down woodward.....I'm sure it'll be a parking lot already. Those that remember last year on friday night where Crossfires and Prowlers OWNED at least a mile of Woodward.

Another option could be seeing a few scenic back roads around the area? I'll leave it up to the Visitors to the area to decide what you all want to do!

You and your wife are welcome to stay in Sharon, PA on Thursday night. It's about 1/2 way for you, and is right off I-80. I'll even show you the sights. (It won't take too long!) There's three things that Sharon has going for it: largest shoe store in the world (Reyer's), best wings in the USA (the original Quaker Steak & Lube), and the best Italian food in the US (tons of places) - OK, you're from Jersey, so you probably have good Italian food there too.

The Chrysler Museum (like Apkano said) is only 2 miles form the Courtyard Marriott where we will be staying again this year.
I would imagine that a meet at the hotel would be the easiest way.
