pgmikes,
I'll add you to the List right now!
Thank you for your commitment, it's nice having some from St Louie! & the first from the Big MO!
What color, year & type is your XF? (I see a White, Gray & Blue Roadster in your Gallery, which is yours, if all 3, which is coming to the Dragon)?
See you at the Dragon, in 49 Days!

Good Morning,

Anymore "Count Me In's", or reconfirms yet on our List of 21?
Seven more weeks, & we are going to have one "Heck of a Meet"! Mark your calendar & make your plans.

We should have two days of informal events, for those that can only be there on Sat or Sun, & we will decide & vote on "Next Year's Annual Fall T of D Meet?

Also, I will do Hotel/Lodge research for anyone needing help, or should I/we pick one Hotel/Lodge on each side (NC & TN), for get togethers at night, (Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights), for those coming from a distance and/or staying over Sat night?

Your thoughts on this, Please?

Bill (SilverFox)
Murphy, NC.

Great, I'll add you & your XF to the List with a "?", until you know for sure, OK?

(I'm sure many others are in the Same Boat 7 weeks out till 11/10&11 and we need a "rough" feel for the kind of #'s we will have there).

Hey Silverfox... have we set a time at which we are meeting on Sat? I didn't know if it was too far off to set that yet.

GM Kyle,

Tentatively 10:00 AM, but that could change a little(& maybe another around 2 PM for late arrivals)
& the Same on Sunday, most likely.

We're going to try & be Very Flexible for those coming from some distance & tighter schedules.
I'll be there in the Area All Day Saturday & Sunday, with my Cell phones to help in any way I can.

Thanks for asking.
Are your Folks going to come in their XF, also?

You are going to be there the same weekend as the Porsche clubs from around the country. Fontana Village is the main lodging for the area, nice rooms, nice cabins, great restaurant. It is right on the dragon. If you want to reserve rooms, do it now because there are NO hotels anywhere near. Anyway, I stayed there last year and it was beautiful. Oh, by the way, I'm new to this forum, but am looking at a 2005 Xfire, red or white. Hope to join you if the sale goes through.

Thanks for the heads up on the Porsche meet it will be fun to mix with those Guys/Gals! It will be off Season, after Oct, so should be OK, for lodging there are lots of places within a 1 hours drive: Robbinsville, Tellico Plains, Fontana Village, Deals Gap (NC Side on the Dragon), Some places on the North (TN) side of the Dragon, also Murphy, Andrews, even Knoxville. Take your pick & choose your route, lots of flexibility.
Hope to see you join Us in Nov, I just got done commenting on the thread you just started re: your search for a Crossfire. Welcome to the Forum!

Hi old man,
I'll put you down with a ? for now, OK? Is your Blaze Red Coupe an '04 or '05 Ltd? Lots of places should be available & the Prices will be good in early Nov., after the Color Season is over.
I'll help anyone with a Hotel, lodge or Motel online if they are having trouble finding where they want to stay, close, far, NC or TN, Lots of choices, see previous post.
Thanks for the tentative!

Thanks man! That clears up a lot about what time to leave.
Yes the parents are bringing either the graphite silver LTD coupe Crossfire, or the Vette. (mom has the crossfire and dad has the Vette). But either way they are coming!

That would be Great having someone from Canada! The Snowbird Mountain Lodge, is a very Nice place in a very Nice Area, not far from the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, or Robbinsville, I believe. I've gone by it many times on our way to the Cherohala, but never stopped in, we were going to do lunch, but it was always the wrong time of the Day.
They should have some Vacancy in Nov & better rates, please let me know what you find out?
I'll put you down with a ?, OK?
Thanks again for considering this Great New Annual Meet!

Only concern would be the weather. Always the possibility of snow here in southern Ontario and the northern states. Have you looked into a group rate at any of the hotels in the area for those who need accommodation? Would be nice to have a group of us at the same hotel.
