Started from Chicago this morning. Got to the Ohio/WV border and took a leg stretch. Go to start the car and it sputters for 3 seconds then dies with all the idiot lights on. Tried occasionally for 10 until it started. Hoped to complete the run to the evenings logging but had to get gas about 40 miles out. Figured if I didn't turn it off it would keep on running. Good idea but 15 feet from the pump it died again. Called AAA and spied a Hampton across the road. Called there for reservations. 40 minutes later got the car started and moved it out of the way. Shortly thereafter the tow guy comes and loads the car for a ride to the local Chrysler dealer. He said there is no shop open on Sunday in Beckly WV. Next to the hotel is a Bob Evans and across the street is a Texas Steak house and Saloon. Not bad but not what I had in mind for Sunday.

If you have over 60K on the Odometer on your 04 and have yet to change your crankshaft position sensor, then you deserve to spend the weekend in Beautiful Beckly WV.

Doc Rudy installed mine on Wednesday. They work flawlessly. No delay and a lot of fun. The kit that Chris furnishes is of very high quality and according to Rudy well thought out and complete.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. I will bring tools and install CPS's for anyone that brings one with them. About a five minute job for me. I work for beer

And Doc, The paddles are awesome!! The kit is first rate and operates just as if the car came from the factory with them.

I would find an Interstate Battery Dealer and purchase a MPT-91.

thanks for the paddle update...I will check them out, but I have to admit, I wouldn't know what to do without my right hand on a shifter...lol... Al...I hope it is something simple, but that sounds like the RCM to me...good luck...

I may just take you up on that offer Lantana, by the way, what kind of beer do you like?
As for the paddles, I always thought they were just a gimmic. That is until about a month ago when I had the extreme pleasure of spending a few days (and about 1500 miles) cruising on some of California's best "Dragon like" roads in a Lexes IS 350 with the paddle shifts. Unbelievable car, and I don't think I would ever get a car with an automatic without them.
I'm looking forward to seeing your paddle installation, and finally getting to meet ya.

A good local beer is fine The our member Latemodel (Chris) is making a really nice shift paddle kit. You guys should look into it. It is very ingenious as he uses the horn wire to send the the signal for the paddles. The paddles work just like factory OEM and the horn still works just like stock. The hardest part is installing the paddles which is like an art and crafts project and removing the shifter which takes some time but not all that hard to do. There are other steps but they are very simple.

O'Reilly's has a "Sure Start" or "Super Start" for about $88. I put one in the Red Roadster a year before I sold it, and one in THIS car when I got it home from Arizona.

Well it's a sunny day in Beckley. They have sights here so why not rent a car. Three Enterprise shops in Beckley and they are all closed on Sunday. Who would possibly want to rent a car on Sunday? That was the bad news. The good news is the quicky mart across the street has Krispy Kreme!!! No ride but I got fat pills. The adventure continues.

Al just out of curiosity, coming from Chitown, why did you decide to take Rt. 77 instead of Rt. 75? Did you just want to take in those twisty W.V. roads?

No such thing as too many twisties. We had planned to get to Princeton WV last night so we could do a nice cross country drive through the WV sticks to close to the NC coast.
